Coffee break.

Was this modification the addition of a canopy?

So presumably it was previously a two-seater open cockpit.

OK, this needs to move along....

1. a mod of a well-known machine
2. was produced in limited numbers
3. four-cyl engine up front
4. was a two-seat enclosed cockpit
5. is still a two-seat enclosed cockpit
6. had some very drastic surgery!!!!!

RR

edit: the bits that stayed pretty-much original were: rear fuselage/tail, front end (engine etc), undercarriage.....

Come on, you should get it now!!!

Clues:

1. Its name in English pre-conversion has the same meaning as its name post-conversion, albeit in a different language!
2. Military application

That will be a LIPNUR Belalang. A 1950s Indonesian monstrosity carved from a Piper Cub.

Sorry, OH. Ordinarily I'm not in a position to post pictures as I spend most of my time away from a computer that allows me to edit.

Morning Martin.

I hope you don't mind, but I awarded that to Cgb on my own because there were absolutely no doubts and there was nobody else around to second.

I was hoping to get a new challenge, but 'twas not to be.
