Evening Ken,

Just turning in now, but I must ask what those two protruberances under the wings are, the gear doesn't look retractable, not bombs are they ?

A single seater homebuilt?

Morning Trevor

The gear IS retractable...and that's where it retracts into.
A single seater homebuilt?
Homebuilt...well yes, as in built by the designer. It was a one-off albeit that the intention had been to put it into production...which never happened. Two seats.
Time for me to turn in now, so good night

Looks like a shortened Hamilton HX-321. Any connection?

Possibly found two or three new recruits for the GIMP Army mate. I was wondering if it would be worthwhile if you posted the GIMP download site and your very accurate instructions in Mel's List thread for all to see and have a crack at?

Just a thought.

Goodnight.

No connection that I can see Graeme. I should clarify this is American, but it's not from the US. It was actually designed as part of an aircraft design competition in its country of origin...in which it came 2nd!

New recruits are always welcomed. Yes, will post the link and instructions as you suggest.

Was that somewhere in South America by any chance, or maybe Canada?

Afternoon David....I was beginning to think there was nobody around today. Yes, South America. First flew in 1992.

Thanks Ken, a good challenge; strangely enough, all the words I used in my unsuccessful searches where there, but buried too deep to find I guess!

Sorting something out now, won't be too long I hope

Sorry for the delay (decided to download Gimp and learn how to fly it), here's a rotorcraft for a change!

Trevor, you downloaded and mastered GIMP in less than an hour?! We're doomed!

If correct will have to be Open House.

Far from "mastered" yet mate, I beat it into submission with a few well chosen expletives, there's a lot to learn as yet I'm sure, but it beats the hell out of MS Paint so far !!

Edit: Good call from Ken, glad you put another up Graeme. I'm just getting something to eat, but will have a look at your new challenge between assorted crises in the kitchen

Edit2: I have to ask, is it in Aerofiles?

Most definitely mate. If the Doman was your first attempt, you did very well. I would have given it a wide berth due to the complicated array of undercarriage lines. Wheels are a bitch when it comes to "join-the-dots."

Thanks, it was my first try at Gimping; but I cheated a bit by not trying trying to follow the exact profiles where the edges were already dark enough, I just did the bright bits and then tweaked the contrast to darken the grey bits !

Did you see my Edid2 above?

You're logged on, therefore not from Aerofiles.

Clever. Must try that.
