I got snowed in at Swanton Morley for 3 days circa 1978/79, our camp Eastern Radar/Watton was all male, Swanton Morley was pretty much all female .... We had a terrible time.

So, chevvron is dead. I guess. I'll therefore declare OPEN HOUSE in his wake.

I'll have a first stab as its quiet in here. Probably a long way off, but it gets it started.

The landscape is reminsicent of my visit to Tucson a few years ago. And the barn looks vaguely North American.

So, Davis-Monthan ?

No not Albuquerque.

A clue :- building this aerodrome was always a bit of a gamble !

That should do it.

That would then be

- Sky Corral Airport, Las Vegas, NV

- Barton Field, Las Vegas, NV

- Alamo Airport -> McCarran Field -> McCarran International Airport

- Sky Haven Airport -> North Las Vegas Airport

But my bet goes to

- Western Air Express Field -> McCarran Field -> Nellis AFB

sabredog.

Yes indeed. Opened on Thanksgiving Day 1920 and was Las Vegas's first airport. It closed in 1929. The site has since been swallowed up by the city.

Over to you.

Looking at the terrain and flora I would move further North into Canada.

I have time today, but its foxed me thus far.

Obviously very newly constructed or rebuilt. An airpark in the Pacific NorthWest maybe?

Are there expensive houses or lodges just out of view?

Oregon?
