Impressed, although did not expect anything less .
Well. Received a final-sounding ultimatum for Christmas shopping. Will be off line 'till closing of shops or insolvency, whichever comes first.
Enyone: stab of mercy before I go? RR? Mechta?, Arado?

Well mate,
You will understand that, as a miltary officer, one has no choice.
It so happened that I had already won two aerobatic trophies that year, and the RAF was pleased for the international hat-trick at IAT.
Received a little something from Her Majesty for my work.
Somewhere in the BBC archives is a video of my Jaguar display.
Jet Provost and Lightning purring pussy cats - Jaguar nasty animal which bites at the slightest provocation..........I survived....
Take it from me at "tell it like it is" value.......

save my lovely howling '104!
420-450 knots accelerating at 7000rpm towards the listener.....
Dogs howl - hunters only make a noise when there is a need to.......
My one trip in a 104 - unimpressed!

Ever heard the "blue note" from a Hunter?
The '104.... you won't convince me.... 1,000s of pilots around Europe likewise!

No wonder why nobody is interested in the coffee grinder prototype which is in fact (emphasis mine) supposed to be the focal point of this thread .
Off to shopping. Hear the hunter howling and shackles rattling, guys .

Back from shopping. The shops stayed open .
OK, summing up the clues so far, the subtle ones and other:
Three engine prototype for a transport aircraft (did not make it to production). Not American, Canadian, German, French or Dutch.
As I will be off for X-mas in the morning, I'll give the night shift a bonus clue:
14 cylinder radial engines manufactured by an European company that became GE subsidiary almost 80 years later.

Just got in from work and had something to eat. I have had a couple of looks for your challenge during breaks with no luck
Now, thanks to that last clue, I found the Walter Mars engine and from that the DAR-4 Prototype.
What's all this about taking Christmas off?? You've only just had a fortnight+ away !! Tut Tut
Oh well ! Have a Great Time and then hurry back, we'll miss you

Hello Sinco!
That's it. Well done.
As said, I need to get the field to be clean for the X-mas Specials that, I am sure, will entertain everyone on line in the coming week.
All yours now!
Have a nice holiday season!
