Morning David
Would "reconnaisance" do anything Ken?
It shouldn't as it was a trainer!
European design, 1920's, Mercedes engine.

Thanks Ken.

Could well be the D series engine.

Can't say if it is a D series or not. Its described as F then 4 numbers if that helps?

Try F-1244....

I should stress that is what one internet source shows. Another merely states Mercedes engine. Its also in one of my books which again just states Mercedes engine without any model no.

I have established that the F series were alternate designations of the D.

Well at least someone is making an effort - where is everyone?

Surprisingly its not the Abraham Biplane - think pop group. Reportedly this was the first home grown training aircraft from this particular country.

Prefer a solo Phil Collins, but I AM looking Ken!

And doodling...

We have a saying here, whenever you lend something, "Make sure it................."

Merry Christmas from Australia.

Gabriel P6 it is Graeme I knew you'd get there in the end

No decent pictures but the most detailed web source seems to be this.

Translation result for http://www.airwar.ru/enc/law1/p6.html

Your control.

Thanks Ken. Aren't clues wonderful?

Nothing hard, just the last of the 'Gamma Biplanes' I made a while back...

Only if you know the answer!

Just thinking - all the forums seem very quiet. Even Wot Plane has died a death. In fact SC looks like its the busiest, and that doesn't say much! Perhaps everyone is Christmas shopping?

With everyone "trapped" indoors with the cold weather over there I thought PPRuNe would be very busy...? However, you do work from home Ken...

Mate, I'm going to shut-down and watch King Arthur with Clive Owen ( he should be the latest James Bond in my opinion), so I'll catch you later!

Cheers.

That was my theory! Most places in the UK seem to be under inches or even feet of snow - nothing here still, albeit very cold....still -5C and the roads are very icy.

Just been monitoring the NZ one and Wot Plane, really to see how they run. Not been actively participating.

Not sure on your challenge mate, but will look in to it later this morning (assuming no one else gets there first).
