I'm back.
LM, you're correct, it is an American aircraft.
Another clue...the silhouette is the prototype. The production aircraft differ in having an enclosed cockpit canopy and seating for 2 (as opposed to 1).

If its any consolation LM, I did that search and missed it that one too, due to the different angle I guess, but found it with the same search on Aerofiles!
