All good mate. Yourself?
I believe so
Friday - which just so happens also to be our wedding anniversary!
I never remember my wedding day.
Interesting concept (your challenge). Other than the French Trident and the EWR VJ 101 was there any other aircraft built with wing-tip jets?

It is indeed a project Graeme
You fell into my trap .....it may look Caravelle'ish but there's no connection and its not French!
I quite like the wingtip jets...in reality very few aircraft were actually built with them, but they do appear in several projects. I think they just look good on the drawing board Its how I used to draw aircraft when I was young!

The Russians copied my drawings and came up with Myasishchev M50
No, but it is from a European country.
Getting late for you I know...but stay with it!
Maybe British?
Might be a good time to leave.

Ken, I'm sure someone will be along soon to solve it. In the meantime practise your flag waving for the Royal wedding.
And DON'T forget YOUR wedding anniversary!
Cheers.

Mikoyan seems to have played in 1960 with an idea of a passenger aircraft with engines in rear. What if he just copied the Caravelle fuselage and played more on various placements of the engines…..
BTW, I keep having (as you have seen) some problem with the "European" clues vis-a-vis the inclusion of Russia (with UdSSR) into Europe or not (in the clues - other than that, I am silent).

Had a break for lunch.
No its not Russian, and Myasishchev is not a clue! Wish I had kept my old drawings now - they were damn close with the M50, although my engine pods were much longer! Oh and I had 2 more on the tail for good measure!
Reg, incidentally when I mention Europe I refer to those countries wholly within Europe, so Ukraine yes, Russia no.
Thanks re LM Reg, glad to know he's around at least, even if he won't come out to play anymore!

Good afternoon gentlemen,
Looks like it's a SAIA-Marchetti Project of 1951 or thereabouts
I'm just finishing lunch-break and can't dig any deeper for a name or number. Open House please if that's sufficient as I'm back to work now and hectic with it!!

Yes, a rather sytlish, if unorthadox, Italian design, that seems to have had its engines added as an afterthought!
SincoTC has declared Open House. Now in days long gone by, a certain fighter pilot would have jumped in at this point........I wonder if he's watching???
