Hi Planemike...
You are spot on it is the Napier-Heston J5 Racer.
I found some facts and figures about this aeroplane the other night that prompted this challenge. the 'special' Napier Sabre engine in this aircraft was tuned to put out 4000hp! instead of the original 2450hp. Said engine made up 40% of the total aircraft weight. But the one I found most staggering was that A.E. Hagg and George Cornwall designed her with a top speed of 520mph! in mind. Shame her total flying career only lasted 6 minutes...who knows what might have been.
Planemike you have control
John

Noyade - (http://www.precise3dmodeling.com/mod...k130_large.jpg) -
You are extremely close: it's a product of another manufacturer of the same trainer you mentioned, with different powerplant -- albeit I recognise this maybe impossible to detect from my picture -- and higher max. speed.

SFAN/11 Att. Noyade
You have recently submitted a post concerning SFAN/11.
I can't find any information in the database about it except a picture on Aviastar and that's all.
Would you be kind enough to supply some basic information to us ignorant people?
Thanks very much for your assistance (as you can see I'm just learning)

For the benefit of whoever requires information on SFAN/11 I was able to find some basic data on:
Aviation française, un siècle d'histoire - Aviafrance.
Naturally should Noyade possess further information he's more than welcome to share them with us.
