HC - what are you on?
|
Heavylift is a great company with a fanatastic business model, it bought Ozjet really to gain the AOC |
Wouldn't call it an industry. Looks more like a circus to me; or a very average B-movie maybe?
|
Cheers for the clarification in regards to CAO/CAR and AOC etc etc. Don't Ozjet still hold the contract for the Derby run, just sub contracting it out to Alliance at the present time? Or has Alliance taken over completely? Perhaps a phone call to the local shire office?
|
NL will pack up his bat and ball and go home , BUT there are regulations to say he just cant do that and leave others stranded.:hmm:
|
Exgolfer
sorry to say it...but dont hold your breath, or depend your house payments on it!! |
Dead Wood
Mr Leach,
As I am a member of your dead wood, tossed aside to float aimlessly on a sea of nothingness I would like to take the opportunity to put forward an honest appraisal of our situation - I have nothing more to lose. Ozjet pulled out of Norfolk Island on the 28th of April, just 1 month shy of its end of contractual obligations to the Norfolk Island Government and to their crew of 8. This occurred without any word from Management or any acknowledgement for the loyalty and dedication of their staff and still their has been NOTHING. It is a shame now to see that the rest of the crew - and they are fantastic crew, the frontline men and women of the organisation are also left high and dried. I am visiting Brisbane this weekend, perhaps Nick you might like to deem to meet with me and explain why it is that you believe it is ok to deprive our families of our income, whilst you duck for cover in the security of your lawyers and administrators. I personally am owed in excess of $8000, have 4 children and a large mortgage... maybe you would like to write a short note to my bank manager to explain the situation to her so that we dont lose our home. Good on you Nick - hope you have no trouble sleeping at night because I am only one of the many staff that you employed and I have no doubt that we are all in the same situation. We stuck by you Nick when times were tough and I'm disappointed that you didnt have the decency to do the same. My only respite is that Karma is tough and her teeth are sharp... Good luck - I think you might need it! |
Norfolk Pine , the problem is NL doesnt accept he has done anything wrong and will try to make others believe it too. Always the first to jump ship.
|
What a load of garbage!
Jeeze HC. Would those 'complaining people' and 'dead wood' be the ones that gave you their time, honesty, trust and hard work for nothing? You dont even have plans, grand or otherwise, of paying them what they are owed, do you? All those people believed in a great little business that you fleeced! Where is the mansion mate? Lets see .... Fiji, Tahiti?
And whether you think you have done wrong or not (and lets face it, you arent ever going to admit that you have, are you?), to shut down a business without paying the staff IS YOUR FAULT and YOUR RESPONSIBILITY , so how about doing the right thing .... for once?! What goes around comes around, friend. |
Gee Heavy Cargo, as at the time of this post, almost 11,000 people have viewed this thread.
Whats it like now, having the truth start to come out, and an ever shrinking clutch of patsies abandoning ship? Karma, baby. Karma. |
Engineer_aus; Alliance were supposed to be operating the Derby/Curtin service, however I believe National Jet did the run today.
Any news as to who's picking up the Christmas Island or Bali pax? |
According to the Perth Airport website QQ operated today's service and will operate the service tomorrow as well.
|
Didn't NJS have the Christmas Island contract back?
|
For those who are owed money by Ozjet there will be a meeting of creditors of the company at The Bowlers Club Level 2,95-99 York St Sydney NSW on Friday 29 May 2009 at 10:00am.
NL will be there and he will buy lunch for everbody NOT. |
Word on the street is xmas/cocos is too hard and most don't want it.
|
I too have heard that rumour aswell
|
Great, the administrators meeting is in Sydney. Ozjet main office is MEL, and the crew bases are PER, BNE and NLK
So no job, no income, no money to spare for travel, and the meeting about my entitlements is being held in a place that is as good as half a world away.:ugh: |
Creditors meeting
Cant make the meeting but would be great if someone could post the general gist on pprune so we can find out.

Standard Procedure
The Ozjet situation is standard procedure for the owner NL, if you do a company search you will find a string of failures with similar pattern right back to the DC3 vh-edc South Pacific Airmotive.
All four Ozjet aircraft are listed for sale , refer AircraftDealer.com who have had this advert on their site for some time, VH-OZD-X-U and VH-OBN. Perth airport have taken positive action, do trust they recover their costs either from the sale of aircraft, OZ-HN office premises or the substantial assets of the parent company directors. Congratulations to the regulator who would have foreseen prior plans to merge the Ozjet and HN companies and mindful that to include the ageing HN fleet of VH and RP registered aircraft would undermine their standards. The Philippine Civil aviation is currently investigating the Certificate of Registration of RP-8019 and RP-8020. Time will reveal all. |
Must be having trouble selling VH-VLH according to this!
|
This is from someone in the west who told me this....
NJS has been tasked by Alliance to fly the daily PER-Derby-PER run, NJS was contracted by Ozjet to fly the XCH runs. The XCH run was ops by the people on XCH and nothing to do with the XCH/CCK runs |
Engineer_aus,
Your way off the mark. Reading this post is a hoot :} Bugs |
It wasn't a 146 I heard taxying at Curtin last week.
|
Whoever is doing Ozjet's W.A. flying,I hope they're getting cash "up front" or we'll be seeing them at the creditors meeting on Fri. as well.
|
As far as the creditors meeting goes it is important that ALL former employees are represented at that meeting.
For those that cannot be present I have organised for someone with a legal background to accept our proxies and also register our proof of debit form. If you wish to use this option PM me and I will provide the name and fax number. Remember this meeting is on Friday and tomorrow is the last day to take advantage of this offer. Seeing as I have plenty of time on my hands at present I will be checking my PM's on a regular basis. :ok: |
OzJet 4???
Does anyone think there is a chance of OJ getting up again?
|
The SAW thread all over again! :ugh: :ugh:
United the staff may have a chance of rescuing something; divided they fall. := The first meeting will concentrate of approving the Director's appointed Administrator, or replacing him with a Creditor's appointed Administrator; and recording creditor's interests. That surely is a no brainer........ I think olderairhead is on the right track, coordinating Proxies. Supporting his proposal may be the only chance you have. Your decision......... Whiteknight. Anyone that responds to your question, either positive or negative, knows not of what he speaks! :} |
Hey Whiteknight,
I used to be a fan of Kung Fu, the tv show. Young Caine says: "The silkworm dies, the moth lives, yet they are not two separate beings but one and the same". Master Kan replies: (ok, seriously edited)........ "It is called Ignorance" grasshopper. (Sorry...being a little nostalgic, but did seem appropriate). |
Bravo doleque, bravo :D:D:D:D

Is NL getting out of the aviation business? All the B737-200's & B727-100 / -200F are up for sale.....
|
Skystar 320 wrote "Is NL getting out of the aviation business? All the B737-200's & B727-100 / -200F are up for sale....."
Well, wouldn't that be a blow to Australian aviation..... |
NL is not so much getting out of the aviation business in Australia as being run out of it.
It will now cost more to move those old 732's than they can be sold for. But they could have a bright future in Sierra Leone. Hands up for the ferry flights, anyone? Make sure you have fees up front and return ticket in hand before you go. Business class. |
So how did the creditors meeting go?
|
Any word from the Creditors meeting?????
|
Heard it was in the order of 30 Million HL major creditor, I wonder what will happen to the AOC ?
|
I think you heard wrong :ok:
|
$30 Million ROFLMA, tell me who the accountant is, I think I could use one like that!!:ok:
|
OAH
Tell me more, I got my details from a creditor who was at the meeting on Friday. |
Unbelieveable to run a company into the ground and still claim to lose so much , all OJ sales went to HL anyway!!
