^^^^ that is actually quite funny, as far as I know all the pilots who have taken part this morning are still on their normal rosters for the week. So either that email was total crap or the company are going to allow those pilots to work but just won't pay them?

I have been told there has been little impact upon the travelling public. Everyone has got to their destination. If this is the case Little Napoleon may have the upper hand.

An important revelation.
No one could have predicted that a Red Tie was an "economic weapon of mass destruction" Expect to see a sneaky amendment to FWA explicitly forbidding red ties. It seems actually not flying JQ flights has little economic impact. (a whole other thread's potential!) Little Napoleon knew. |

Tigerair PIA cost $12m on a tiny fleet. Multiply that out to Jetstar fleet size and the costs will rack up! Keep at it fellas (and ladies)! |

You're costing the company money as they need to implement contingency plans. I.E reaccomodate paxing on the other airlines, charter flights, hotels and effecting forward bookings etc. No doubt they have already spent more than they would have making a few concessions to the pilots. Maybe Allan could donate part of of his 24 million to the cause. |

Impressive. So I get paid $305,000 a year. And I do this whilst working 30% less than the average Australian. Average is about 40 hours a week, 30% less 28 hours a week. So that is about 5.6 hours a day, over a 5 day week.
5.6 hours duty is a nice 2 sector day, and puts me around 70 hours flying for the month. So somehow, despite the fact I'm 5 hours short of even getting into overtime, I'm able to turn my 200k base into 300k, and only ever have to do 2 sectors! And don't forget thats only average, meaning 50% of the pilots earn even more!! I'm honestly at a loss as to how these lies are told seemingly without consequence. |
