Trans States?
I see Trans States are advertising on AFAP again.
What are these guys like to work for?
If you're not chasing the big dollars on the surface this seems to be an OK deal for you first jet gig, Or am I missing something?
I'd be interested learn if any of you have had experience with these E3 programs. (PM if you like)
Does the E3 Visa allow a spouse to legally work in the US?
Cheers

As far as TSA goes, I think there are better options out there. Check out ExpressJet, they seem to be growing and have a much better contract than TSA. Their training is also known to be excellent.

Havick, If that is the case then that is a very big development.
With the way things are going in the USA then this is just the beginning.......
However ......ALPA is trying to push that E3s and the like be disallowed. In fact it is one of thier hot button (?) issues they are pressing to congress. Im not sure their complaints will hold much weight. After all a workforce consisting of white, male, over privaledged and highly paid individuals claiming that foreigners are ruining their prospects arent really the flavour of the day.
Qantas take note.....YOUR pilot pool is being plundered.

I’ve heard the same from one of the attempting “jumpers”. We’ll see how it goes. Who knows, with all the retirements that are inevitable in the legacies, the CPP and Flow might even apply to the E3s in the near future
I’ll be laughing to hear a “HooRoo” from AAL or DAL or UAL cockpits

Well, in my experience the paid for the flights, 3 weeks of hotel stays and meals while I was waiting on SSN and TSA clearance to do ATP/CTP course. It all adds up, you know. American citizens and PRs won’t require this wait.

As PA says, that's a big development. I'm a bit surprised at the comment from Frontier's recruiter. While they've had their difficulties pre-contract, things appear to have settled down a bit with people saying it's now not all that bad a place to be (and merger/acquisition rumors of course).
Did the recruiter indicate which Aussies they'd take ? I assume he meant those from US regionals rather than those right off the boat ?

I wouldn't be terribly concerned about union opinions on this subject. I'd be surprised if they didn't object.

havick,
rfds being Royal Flying Doctor Service ? What background would they have ? I'm not very familiar with the organization but thought they fly TP airplanes mostly ?
I wonder who would've made the connection between Frontier and the RFDS. Seems odd that the RFDS would be targeted by Frontier.
I assume they'd also be E3 candidates.
