This is the most unprofessional announcement day I have ever seen.... mixed messages everywhere, ASX, ASIC, wake up, Joyce is unstable! a mad man who is laughing at us because he is getting away with it.. Come on Australia..
Most of the Qantas staff to lose their jobs will be gone this year, but the internal document circulating today is adding to employee anxiety by indicating that exactly who is going and from where hasn’t yet been finalised. It says the job losses will amount to 15% of its work force.

Or: an announcement to aggressively replace all 747's and 767's with 777's, say, (well, that was never going to happen, obviously) would have given Joyce a boost. No, this "plan" is pretty much more of the same. Kick the tin-can down the dusty track a bit more.
Hence the share market reaction. And it means Joyce's time IS up. Watch that space, I reckon!

So right Chocks Away, those two turkeys, were a disgrace. Using the distress of the staff, to gain political gain. And whats with Sheldon suggesting the staff walk? I hope it is only a reaction to the news. That is what Joyce hoping for.

It seems like AJ is trying to be more objectionable and unlikeable than his erstwhile role model MO'L in the same way - by treating employees and customers like second class citizens.
