Twiggs,as the TV show goeseal or No Deal

If I remember correctly, you said 'NO DEAL', so any offer prunezeuss said is null and void.

Since you did not take up his offer, you must not have been too sure of your position or facts either

The other thing which is disappointing is that those who were rumoured to be going will take this as an endorsement of their abilities and work.

I knew this was to good to be true.

Quite correct, I had no idea who was going or staying, but prunezuess does look silly now making precise predictions about who was going when he/she obviously now, was just wishing.

Bad Hat, go to the website and look it up yourself, but the third one may still be around, just not listed in those specific 4 layers.

twiggs, you might have noticed that this is a rumour network and you were asked if you didn't agree with prunzeuss' post to accept an offer which you declined.
If you thought his post was so outlandish you could have taken up his offer but you chickened out.

So at least he was willing and had the integrity to back up his information unlike you.

The biggest example of this stupid tactic of course is Jetstar....
Sunfish, sorry for the thread drift but I have to disagree in part. While Jetstar domestic is not a good move for mainline crew, it is a great move as far as the QF group is concerned. Jetstar international however, is so far very dissapointing.

no one from Cabin Services has gone!

they have just changed the titles and the printer will print new business cards and the sign writers will paint new name plates and the music keeps playing and no one has to worry about a chair not being there

All I've spoken to are gutted at what looks like on face value a missed opportunity to reinvigorate our department.

It looks like more of the same.

Unimaginative, self serving, dysfunctional feminazis and their handbags hell bent on micro managing the department into oblivion. Talk about, "Nero fiddling while Rome burns".

I hope and pray that today is just a precursor to serious change and I know that I speak for many when I say that our staff are desperate for some real leadership.

The type of people who might actively be interested in what happens onboard as opposed to the ones we have now who only know it as some vague, ethereal concept [sometimes viewable] from 4A.

How about a return to the values of honesty, integrity, decency and the ability to inspire? The company and it's staff deserve as much.

I distinctly remember the HEAD of Cabin Services working down the back on a cart to LA and back and it wasn't all that long ago. Well 10 years I suppose.

Go on Alan. Re-engage us.

I dare you...........

AJ does not make the decisions.... he is fed the info to release.

So disappointing .... Perhaps AJ should get an email to read these forums....
then he will see the true sentiment of his "disengaged" staff.

The company has been compromised by a generation of unprofessional amateurs who consistently sabotage everything that our predecessors had tried so hard to achieve to make Qantas a world leader in everything it did.

Have a look at the "Cornflake dipolma" mafia who come into a position they know nothing about to change things they know nothing about, and when it goes all wrong.....?? Thats right..... nothing but a few title changes and the odd position re arrangement.

Why am I not surprised? Because on a board level, the same thing happens. All these old crusty bits of dead wood who have contributed jack to anything,
just all drift aimlessly between the same companies boards collecting millions along the way....

Thats why nothing changes and nothing of any substance gets achieved.
The rot has set in.

Im drifting a bit here... and ranting a bit as well...
Im just over the whole thing......
Im done

This news is disheartening because it shows that AJ has missed a chance to reinvigorate Cabin Services which is a major part of the airline.

This is either another example of wanting to be seen to be doing something without really doing anything.....or AJ is being fed the wrong information.

I remember Winnie addressing a group of CSM's and telling us that crew were basically lazy in not trying to challenge themselves and try a new direction in their career. This was seen at the time as an attempt by her to try and get around the seniority system of which she was never a fan.

This was somewhat hypocritical of her when you remember what happened to her and how she reacted when she was told to leave the building.

This latest news is like a fishing trip story in which the biggest fish that had been seen in years had come close to being landed but in the end got away......yet again.

So, can we assume then, that 100 Senior Execs will not actually be losing their jobs?

Grapevine Failure

Fist time I have known the Qantas Grapevine to fail...extremely disappointing.
Cabin Services is long over due for a purge.
Their survival will be seen as an endorsement of what they are doing.
This is not the way to re engage a workforce

According to todays AFR, that was only round 1 .............
...will target another round of senior job cuts next month
Yesterdays changes affected the two layers of management below the airlines executive committee, which reports directly to Mr Joyce
The next stage will target the layers below these
