Thanks and interesting. No mention of National Jet continuing?

I believe the VB E190's have EDTO approval as well.

You would think that NJS would have been asked to extend the service with the RJ-70. Don't think they have been asked as AG is looking for a service that can avoid the tech stop at LEA

Current lowest cost fare on NJS is $1667 return & that is considered discount. If you can't secure that fare then for the modest fare of $2249 you can fly Y class.

How long before this could be achieved ?

Could the VB E-190's achieve the task as a charter Vs RPT ?

Can VB use the 190 on an international service? Would it have to be PB and do they have 190s?

Aircraft departs from Perth International Airport, however it is considered a domestic route. International carriers can fly SIN-XCH or KUL-XCH however XCH-CCK or islands -PER considered domestic.

Christmas Island and Cocos Island are Australian territory - they are not international services.

XCH and CCK in WIII airspace. Understand they are territories. Leaves from International terminal with GDs clearances customs etc. may need clarification.

Negative - Customs view the flight as International hence the International Terminal departure, however DOTARS and CASA view it as domestic flight as Christmas and Cocos Islands are Australian territories as such is adminstered by CASA and DOTARS themselves.

Yeah, just like going to Norfolk Is, but what about Jervis Bay, the ACT, the NT and Antarctica.

They are all territories but treated differently.

Unfortunately both SXO and SXK departed BNE for Broome in past 1-2 hrs.

I believe sadly leaving this country.

These are their Em190's.

SAW in administration

this just emailed out from SAW HR department:

Following on from my previous advice, I can advise that SkyAirWorld has today appointed a Voluntary Administrator to the company.

While further information will be passed onto you shortly, I can advise you that in relation to your outstanding salary and termination payments you should make a claim through GEERS.

The General Employee Entitlements and Redundancy Scheme (GEERS) is a basic payment scheme established to assist employees who have lost their employment due to the liquidation or bankruptcy of their employer and who are owed certain employee entitlements. This is Federal Government Scheme.

Nothing yet on the ASIC web site - and they are normally very quick to change company status.

Which company is in external administration?
  • SKY AIR WORLD PTY LIMITED
  • SKY AIR WORLD CAPITAL PTY LTD
  • SKY AIR WORLD HOLDING PTY LIMITED
  • SKY AIR WORLD INTERNATIONAL PTY LTD
  • SKY AIR WORLD (SOLOMON ISLANDS) PTY LTD
  • SKY AIR WORLD EAST TIMOR PTY LTD
The following may also be related entities:
  • SKY AIR SERVICES (INTERNATIONAL) PTY LTD
  • SKY AIR LOGISTICS PTY LTD (Now JOINT LOGISTICS PTY LTD)
  • SKY AIR INVESTMENTS PTY. LTD.
There may also be other related entities with names not related to the principal operating entity.

I can advise you that in relation to your outstanding salary and termination payments you should make a claim through GEERS.

TAILWHEEL

I can assure you that SkyAirServices is a seperate company with completely seperate business activities run by different management and has been for nearly 2 years.

The company employs good people and has been working around the clock to contract work for those redundant SAW staff who have bothered to contact them.

On the basis that those employed by SkyAirServices would like to keep their jobs, would it be possible for ppruners to NOT tar all with the same brush?

Wot's in a name? -- she sez . . . An' then she sighs,
An' clasps 'er little 'ands, an' rolls 'er eyes.
"A rose," she sez, "be any other name
Would smell the same.

SPF; I was confusing you with Sky Air (S)Crewing. A rose by any other name, indeed.
