Not aware of the specific details but I can confirm that the HR policy is non-existent at VB and Andrew will win easily. It’s systematic and company wide. Untrained managers and HR advisors who have no idea as to what’s required prior to taking a formal disciplinary action against staff. Ask to view the disciplinary process and HR policy manual at VB – it doesn’t exist.

If the the FA's claim turns out to be false then I think the person should be named and shamed... the poor guy had that done to him regardless of whether he was guilty or innocent.

Have seen this thing before in an other industry, and turned out the claimant didn't want a little four letter "title".

So you aren't debating the facts of the case you are just debating the way in which it was dealt with?

Geez mate you'd want to know the details involved in this case before making a claim like that.

The claim was retracted by the claimant citing that she was afraid the event would harm her reputation. Only after lawyers were involved and some facts came to light.

I knew both parties involved... Unfortunately it still ruined the guys marrige, but as the saying goes. "You make your bed, you sleep in it"

As mentioned earlier in the thread, it only happens in 8% of cases, but it does happen.

This was in no way passing comment as to what might have happend in this case, just saying sometimes these things can be frivilous and as mentioned before there will only be two people that will ever know the full story.

getting some "slap and tickle" on an overnight is something that I consider as homework and essential to the pilot persona....having said that.... one should get that "slap and tickle' from outside sources.....(other airline hosties etc) rather than in-house.....

...as one who has been through the ringer (twice) regarding getting some "slap and tickle" and the charges,accusations,lies,BS....etc.....I have endured the wrath of this....and by all accounts it is not a pleasant ordeal....as time off, time at the beach, stood down...etc is not all that it is cracked up to be........

my advice...a blow up doll and a hearty foot pump......because trying to blow that thing up at 3 in the morning takes away the urge.......

this whole sagarso stinks and ruins it for those of us who have good intentions and just want a good bonk

Rule Number 1, Never trust anybody who says, "Trust Me...".

(especially if they're a Captain! That means they know they're up to no good and are hoping that it won't be questioned by invoking the authority of rank.)

Had an old skipper tell me once many years ago now - when flying was only semi dangerous and sex still (relatively) safe - that he recommended masturbation on overnights.

He said you tended to wake with a better class of person.

Some will recognise themselves in these two gems:
MYSTERY BUS. The bus that arrives at the pub on Friday night while you're in the toilet after your 10th pint, and whisks away all the unattractive people so the pub is suddenly packed with stunners when you come back in.
MYSTERY TAXI. The taxi that arrives at your place on Saturday morning before you wake up, whisks away the stunner you slept with, and leaves a 10-Pinter in your bed instead.
Which leads me of the true definition of 'eternity'... that's the time between waking up after an overnight one night stand and getting her out of your room.

I thought sexual equality in the workplace was what now allowed cabin crew to get a captain pregnant...

missing the point, my way:-)

.............most people miss the point here................we are human, (we are not machines here that can be expected to perform pretty much the same like our charriots that we master time & time again) it's human (for the male species that is) to almost do such things under certain cirumcstances). Men can't be 'friends' with females they can only posses them or leave them be, it's all in the Drawin theory you know. I' not sanctioning the males actions, just to some degree trying to explain his actions the way I see it. Let's have ALL the facts before we judge, sentence & hang the alledged offender!
Sure most will say & do almost anything to save ones 'bacon' but that too is human, speculation is a step above assumption.
Alcohol whether it be featured in this case or not is a natural brain number(if ther's such a word), it's also regognised as a drug. such things when introduced into these cases add nothing but distortion.
If he's guilty then he deserves nothing but the full exstent of the law, if he's inocent then let's learn from his precarious situation.
Life, is not but a rehersal it's a "one off play", for there's only one person in this world to please, & that's YOU !

Capt wally, a different way of looking at life, smile for tomorrow is yet another 'play':-)
......p.s.........personal views only here, like this whole forum is based upon:-)

Speaking of alcohol, Wally, I'd say it had some influence on your post!

Either that or your keyboard's missing half its keys!

I knew I would get some nasty replies that where aimed at me on a more personal basis. That's fine I expect that from a few of the more 'uneducated' out there, at least I, like all the other 'posters' in here have the right to free speach in a democratic society.

Debate is healthy, lets keep it at that rather than start 'labelling' people with views that don't seem to be 'sheep' like !:-)

"Kiwi Chick"....surely yr not that naive?............esspecially if involved in the aviation industry!

Capt Wally:-)
