Skywest F50

Just thought I'd say that there was an Ozzie registered Skywest F50 parked last night at london Gatwick.

Anyone know anymore? perhaps its been sold and being ferried to its new home?

Heard the VH-FN? call sign in Burma last week on our way to PVG. Poor old ferry driver couldn't get on to Yangon at the altitude he was at (Then again no-one was that day). After suggesting HF, he told us he didn't have one!

Bloggs,

HD didn't have a part in the 7th but will hopefully have a part in number 8 and 9 or even better yet, number 4 and 5 on the 100 side.

There's some very capable people at Skywest who had alot to do with the 7th. All they needed was an owner with a bit of money to spend and a vision for the company. Hopefully they haven't missed the boat.

That's it, just keep them coming. How many more aircraft are going to be added to the Perth puzzle? The number arriving have been far outweighing the number leaving and now we have another new F50 to join VH-FNE, possibly 2 new F100's and an unknown number of A320's for Skywest, new F100's for Alliance and Ozjet starting soon. I hope that the airlines are prepared to absorb longer and longer delays. The days of delays just during the morning and afternoon peaks will soon be long gone.

How long until the ATIS will be:

Runway 24 not available due to parked aircraft.

how about using 24 LAHSO for turbo props??
I know there is "only" 1256m avail and CatB need 1400 (dry nil wind <30deg) but surely the D8/Braz/F50/etc local operators can sort this out.
Then we would need to effectively use both runways.
It also makes it a lot easier to cross 24 after ldg 21 without waiting for an aircraft at 500' on 24 to land/apply pwr to taxi up to J
Sorry about thread creep ..maybe I should start another ..ah too late....

Agent 86 I wonder the same thing regarding LAHSO for 24, perhaps it could be answered by someone with more knowledge of company operations. It would certainly make a difference when sequencing aircraft inbound from the north against aircraft from the east.
