Skippers Scheduling

Does anyone have any idea why Skippers insist on putting XUF and XFU out the same direction at the same time almost every day?

Quite often they follow each other out to the same destination departing one after another. Surely this would be an easy fix, is it just that the people who do the scheduling don't realise the issue that this causes?

What would be the best way to address this and have the pilots ever brought this up to the company?

Yes it's an interesting one. In all honesty i don't think the registration of particular aircraft and the implications it might have are a high priority to the people in the scheduling department, all they know is that a Dash and Bras might be required to the same / nearby site and schedule them accordingly. Agree that it can be a nuisanace for both pilots and atc alike but i doubt there's all that much that could be done to change things .....all the destinations are pretty much north and east and i dont think they'll keep the dash grounded when that particular bras is up and vice-versa. Would be nice though if they were rostered as far apart as possible but scheduling have probably got enough headaches at the moment. Actually, heard XFU be addressed as Yankee Foxtrot Uniform the other day, is that ATC's subtle way of venting their frustration?

A change of registration would fix it. XUG is available.

Why not use a flight number as the call sign instead of the rego as is done by other companies even charter in other parts of the country - goes for Skywest too. Too easy>
