Capetonian, read his last line. This is called a troll in other places and would get you banned.

Anyway , and more generaly about Greece, these methods of puting the finger into one group to justify that you are "better" stinks. I would have thought that in Europe at least, with our history, and being educated professionals we would be immune from this.
Apparently I was wrong

to answer or not answer, question is now....
But I have to.
Idea behind previous post, was "joke", and it was clearly stated at the end of post with this smile .
as any other "joke" ,or even more sarcasm type of writing there is some truth behind.

Salaries at Greek public sector were exactly "configured' on such manner. It is not secret anymore.

I do not believe that ATC was different, but I will leave space that it might be different.

Let's wait any of our colleagues from Greece to explain, what is the problem with salaries or other benefits when they go strike twice per month.

I do not believe that we have passed a few thousand years of civilization development and still claim that T&C are secret.

Personally, I always ask myself, "How it looks like to work as an ATCO at Corfu, let say...?

I missed the joke. My sense of humour was clearly not up to scratch.

I would love to read someone's explanations on the subject but sincerely doubt there will be any. This however does not mean it is not a justified reaction
to act with "force" when your "employer" is forcingly depriving you of what is not their to do so. I'd rather someone more personally involved would care to clarify though.
