The enquirer seems to be based in China and to be making a serious enquiry. It does not deserve these flippant responses.

It would seem more logical to direct ericliu to ICAO Doc 4444 as a start rather than take the p1ss; different countries have differnt interpretations of 'the rules' after all.

Whilst PANS-ATM sets out separations and a few 'techniques', the UK CAA used to publish a range of books that was effectively a training manual (it may even have been called that. It's now long gone but one of them was dedicated to approach radar. Maybe there are still copies around - you could try the CAA library to see if they've got a copy (although whether there is any way you could get access to it in some way....).

There used to be a good 'guide' on radar vectoring techniques including diagrams on the Vatsim site written by a former Heathrow Director which went into positioning onto base leg, losing a mile in the turn etc but unfortunately I can't find it any more. Don't suppose anyone knows where to find it or if they have it saved??

The series of books mentioned by Spitoon were excellent.
Subjects covered were:-
Approach Radar.
Radar Theory.
Navigation.
Meteorology.
All under the umbrella of CAP160. This was the definitive 'syllabus' for the UK CAA ATCO's Licence.
If only......

1 Start with Doc 4444 the bible.
2 Get a good instructor.
3 Be patient in learning.
4 Observe carefully how other controllers are working & ask them questions when they are free.
5 Practice daily for an hour & not more.
6 Always have a positive attitude.
That's the recipe.
No books can teach you APP vectoring as it is a skill & an ART if done beautifully.
