Hey guys! I'm through to the next round of testing too. I got right through to the assessment day on my last application and the radar test had some compatibility issues so no one got through - it was early 2021 so to be expected. Anyway - I have done these tests before and found them to be quite fun, but of course challenging. Nothing you can really do to prep for them to be honest.

Thelamprun, do you know if the interrupt test is in lieu of the test on the assessment centre day? I don't remember doing a test with an assessor outside of the assessment centre in my last app

I made it through to the second round of online tests as well! I went through one set of the three today (Detail Accuracy and Coded Reasoning) and I'll do the bigger set with the simulation tomorrow. Good luck to all those in the same boat (including ImGonnaMakeIt and Tysonus)!

Off the top of my head it went: online tests (2 lots) -> interrupt test -> prerecorded interview -> assessment centre -> XRef checks.

I've done all 3 of them, they're definitely harder than the first round, it's like a combination of a few skills you need in different tests in the first round into a single test in the second round.
Even though I think it's harder, but I enjoy doing it more, it feels more like a game, the first online test really feels just like an exam.
Good luck to everyone that's applying!

Anyone has an idea how big the intake cohorts usually are?

Hey Lamprun - so you have to do ANOTHER round of testing after video interview and before assesment day? They definitely did say that Assessment day would be after Video Interview in teh Interrupt Sessions. Did you also get a confirmation email saying they'd received your Video Interview? I submitted mine like two weeks ago but only got the email saying they'd received it this week. And so far nothing about progressing (but no rejection email either so holding out hope)

For some reason I believe that the email l received was an error as I got the exact same one a month ago. This time I didn't get any emails links for the "3 tests" so makes me think it's a glitch. I also had an error last stage with my video interview test link saying it has expired even though the due date didn't pass yet. So am waiting to hear back from the assessor what to do. I'm assuming I'm still waiting for my interview to be evaluated.

For the interrupt test we where on a video call with probably about 10 people and an assessor. We chatted for about 30 mins then took the test all with our video still on. You still have to go to an assessment centre at a later stage.

About a dozen, but it's not a competitive* top 12; if you're good enough you'll get through, and either be offered a place on a course or be put on reserve for the one after that.

*At least, that's what they say. I don't have inside knowledge or anything.

I've been through the testing, for anyone looking for specfic tips on the psychometric testing. PM me. They're pretty tough for most people sight unseen with or without study...

I’ve just submitted my stage 2 testing, and have been reading a lot about the assessment day. I would really love to practice some stuff but not sure what to do!

as well, does anyone have anymore insight on how the process works? With the teams call do I get tested with someone on call, and what are they testing?? Thanks guys

The Teams call for the interrupt test is basically just to verify that you are the one taking the test. It's pretty similar to the radar sim with the dots and numbers that you would've done in stage 2 just with a couple extra steps involved. As for the assessment centre my understanding is that it involves 3 main sections. A face to face interview, a group activity, and another radar sim test of some sort along the lines of the interrupt test.

The only other thing I can suggest is to get familiar with what an aircraft data block looks like on a radar screen and how to read the altitude and direction correctly. Other than that I found the interrupt test to be the easiest for me even though it was more complicated than the previous stages, it all clicked together and I probably scored the highest out of all my exams on it.

So I completed my round 2 testing yesterday (28th of Mar 2023) and honestly only found the true/false aircraft direction one difficult. How long does it take to hear back about the next step, or the unsuccessful letter. Can not stop checking my emails so would be good to know when to look at them. Thanks guys!

For me it was relatively quick. The longest I had to wait for any of the stages was one week after the due date. The only exception is the recorded interview which I did last week.

I got the invite for the interrupt test this morning. I have the option of two time slots on Monday 3rd. I haven't chosen which one yet. Maybe I'll see you in one of them?

The invite arrived pretty quick. So far this process is progressing faster than I was expecting considering what else I've read in this thread. I panic bought a webcam online for the test. Hopefully it arrives in time.

I received an email today saying I've progressed to the interrupt test! I am so nervous and excited now and didn't think I'd make it this far!

Sat the interrupt test today. It wasn't as scary as I thought and got the Pass result less than 20 mins after the session. Online (recorded) interview invite came through soon after. I was already setup so went straight into it and completed the interview. I'm expecting the pace of the application process to slow down a bit now. Happy to get through the tests! Who else got through from today's sessions?

I have mine booked next week. Would you say it's easier or tougher than radar test?

It might be different for different people but for me it was definitely easier than the radar sim test from round two. It feels far less chaotic. It would be very difficult to 100% the test, I made two errors that I noticed and there were probably more that I didn't notice but overall I felt confident with how it went. In contrast I was not confident after the radar sim test.

For the interrupt test I got maybe 3-4 wrong that I noticed. I've completed the video interview and it's been almost 2 weeks and haven't heard anything back yet. I'm guessing it takes so long because they have to watch each one and evaluate. It does sound by how many people are at different stages that they are trying to test out a lot of people.
