I would apply for ATC because you have a life job and well paid money plus its not like the sector will lose jobs in the next 40 years

Iím a bit confused from your earlier messages about whether you plan to apply to be a trainee air traffic controller, or to the early career scheme (which I donít think has anything directly to do with becoming an ATCO).

In any case, itís best to apply for a job you have at least a little bit of passion for. No point being stuck in a job you donít enjoy just for the money.

And who knows what the future holds for ATC, esp. over the course of 40 years?! In many ways, itís the perfect industry for AI to take over many jobs. Satellite surveillance over the Atlantic is currently being trialled, traditional towers are being replaced with digital ones. All sorts of changes going on...

i'm not doing it for the money im just saying that if your doing a degree and your worried that ATC is risky because you may not be able to pay for bills or something like that then you don't need to be because the trainee air traffic controller if a good job to provide for yourself. plus i was on about the ATC

The testing for AI will take ages to take over as it's peoples lives that are in the hands of AI and the chance of them taking over any time soon is not possible because it would be a very risky move

Youíre right, I donít think anything will change that drastically any time soon. But, 40 years is a very long time in terms of technological advances.

So, youíre going to wait until NATS reopens applications for trainee controllers?

Option 1 - check the website from time to time
Option 2 - register your interest and wait for NATS to email you
Option 3 - both of the above

Anybody else on this course? Seeing lots of replies for CTC in January or April, but I'm on the Jerez one too. Apparently there's 14 of us.

Hi! I'm Clara from Spain. I passed Stage 1 and 2 online and I submitted both on the 18th of June. I received and invitation for the Assessment Centre on the 19th of November. I am attending Stage 3 on the 14th January in Whiteley. Any tips or advices? Anyone attending Stage 3 on the same date and location? Thank you!

How are people preparing for their stage 3 group session and interview?
What are you looking into?

If you've already been for your stage 3, what's the best advice you can give?
Appreciate the help.

Smile Stage 3 Assessment

Hi, I've finally got my stage 3 booked for the 21st Jan 2020!
When I selected this date back in November I was told that the dress code for the day was to be formal/business dress, and I was wondering how many people actually planned to turn up in a suit etc. or would that be too extreme?
Also it says to get there for 8am but doesn't give too much indication as to what time the day will end, so I've been struggling to find the correct train times to book. If anyone could offer some advice on anything I've missed that would be amazing!
Good luck to everyone still in the process too
