ATC knowledge, I would say, just have a sound knowledge of the info provided in the booklet you were sent, you need to know it for stage 2 & 3. I wouldn’t stress too much over the specific aircraft statistics but do read over them just to be on safe side as you never know how often the questions change.

Good luck!

Read the booklet you downloaded and make sure you know it. The rest, can't really give advice on how to prepare to be honest other than read the instructions carefully...
Yeh I've been revising the booklet, just hope I've revised it enough! I have heard you can't really revise the FEAST/DART tests, but I'll definitely read the questions carefully!
Thanks a lot!

At least they shouldn't ask to much on aircraft statistics as there are so many to remember! everything else I would say I have good knowledge on... Hopefully.
- Thanks for the advice.

For anyone who has been on the medical, is it very stringent? I'm in good health without being the fittest person on the planet, but my medical is a week after the date I need to hand my notice in to my current employer so a bit nervy just in case I was to fail on anything and go from 2 jobs to zero.

Hi! I have been checking this thread for a long time but I didn't write anything until now

I have scheduled my stage 2 for Monday 5th of November. I am flying from Spain on Friday to stay in London for the weekend so I got plenty of time to get to Whitely on Sunday ( I booked an Airbnb room at a walking distance from the venue). However I got my flight back from Gatwick Airport at 8.55pm on the same day of the assessment.

Do you think I will have enough time in case I am through all the assessments? In the email it says it should be finished by 5pm but I wonder if it is possible to get a delay and finish later. Also, do you think getting to the airport by train is a good option or should a rent a car?

Thank you in advance!

You should be fine to get to Gatwick at that time. Swanwick station is pretty close to the NATS site, and there are trains there that go directly to Gatwick.

Hi Andrea!

I had a flight booked home from Gatwick for 8.20pm but missed it due to a couple of factors:

- Eurocontrol failure resulting in 90 minute delay starting and
- a fatality on the line causing cancellations and delays to rail services towards Gatwick

I'd hope that you don't suffer either or both of the above when you come over as you will have plenty time with the train if all's running smoothly.

Thanks for your answers!

I am going to get the train then and hopfully there will be no issues and I will catch my flight. Next step is to finish memorizing all those airplane facts before my stage 2!

I was with you at the 2nd assessment, and I too passed! I'm the short blonde Finnish girl I've booked my 3rd assessment for mid November. Good luck with the interviews and hope to see you again!

Hi Trevor, Hannah and Hulina! I was also at your stage 2 and also passed DART! I've got my stage 3 booked for the 24th October as well! I hope to see the rest of you soon when you get through

Hi guys, I have my stage 2 tomorrow and am starting to get anxious. I tested myself on the plane info and I just can't seem to get it to stick. I am worried this will be the make or break for me. I did the stage 0 and 1 without too much trouble so I'm hoping I can do the FEAST and DART well enough to make up for any holes in my knowledge.

Any last minute reassuring advice?

Was anyone at the Stage 3 with me which happened earlier this week? Got a missed call yesterday while I was travelling so called back today and found out that I’m in! I’m on the 8th of May in Spain. Probably the only one so far as it’s a while away!

All the best for everyone still to take their Stage 2/3, my advice would be just prepare as much as you can, practice interview skills etc.

Do you have any advice for Stage 2? Did you prepare for FEAST and DART?

Finished the Stage 2 today, got all the way to the end of the day so hopefully I got through! I will await the dreaded email from NATS HR!
This would be a dream job for me so I am really keeping my fingers crossed, Jerez sounds amazing, if I get through I'd love to go there!

Passed my stage 2 on September 26th, I have my Stage 3 on November 6th.

Any tips for stage 3? There seems to be lots of help for stage 2 but I'm struggling to find any for stage 3

Thanks for any help!

Our little group for the afternoon sessions seems to have done quite well! Nice one Wes!

There isn't really anything you can do for FEAST and DART - don't be tempted to pay for phone apps etc. The best advice I can give is read the instructions carefully and don't start the tests themselves until you're happy that you understand the instructions.
