Timing From S1 to S2

Hi,
I did S1 today and wondering when I should receive the outcome. How was it with you from S1 to S2 ?

Hi , I worked as an ATCO for 35 years retiring two years ago. There has never been an issue with racism within any of the ops rooms I have worked in. You are correct in thinking that there is a lack of diversity within the operation and that has always been the way and I am not sure why. I have some theories but that’s not for here. Start your training and enjoy it. You will find ATCOs a friendly and fun bunch on the whole and as long as you put the work in they will treat you with respect and work hard to complete your training. What matters to an ATCO is your ability to work in the team and support each other. Regardless of gender or colour. Good luck .

Thank you for replying to me.

I got an email a few hours ago that I am unsuccessful on Stage 1 . It was a few days waiting time.

I am heartbroken as it is my dream job since 2009....I love this job 💚..
I will reapply after 12 months!

I just wanted to share 😢

I really wish luck to everyone here!!

Hi all

Hope you're all keeping well.

Has anyone who's received the stage 2 completion email heard anything about stage 3?

Kind regards

They have fully booked all their current assessment centre days. They will probably release more in a month or two.

Age

Hi all,

I recently completed my a levels and I am wondering if my lack of “real world” experience will hinder my chances of getting a place. Im turning 19 soon, so I have only worked a few retail jobs. Will this hurt my chances or do i get an equal consideration? Has anyone even managed to secure a traineeship at a young age?

Plenty of people have - I started my course with at least 2 people under 20, both of whom are now controllers. Google the STAR method of answering interview questions to give you an idea of how to structure any answers you want to give
