Hey guys,
I could really do with understanding a bit more about the industry before I progress with my application.
I took the online tests on a whim and have been successful but I know nothing about being employed as an ATC.
I understand that NATS is the 'agency' that provides ATCs to the majority of UK airports.
However, I also understand that some airports don't use NATS verified agents.
Is there another body that trains people in this sector?
I know for example that Ireland run their own programme to provide ATCs for the 3 main airports.
I saw ANS being talked about, do they train their own people specifically for Gatwick and Edinburgh?
Also, do any of the credentials you earn with NATS give you the right to work for European/US airports or have they their own recruitment process?
Sorry for all the questions.
Just hoping someone on here is more educated on the topic than me.

Thank you for all the information!
So for the likes of airports throughout Europe, who is training and recruiting their ATCs?
For example what would be the route to working at CDG?

Anybody attending stage 2 next Monday (16th)
It will be my second attempt. First time I let myself down on DART by a couple of marks. Not entirely my fault but my family has pushed me towards applying again so fingers crossed this time is better!

GSCEs
Hi all
Can anyone please tell me what happens if I went to school in a different country and as a result, I don't have GCSEs. I do have an educational certificate, but I could not find exactly what is it equivalent to in the UK. I did not take final exams from Maths though, as I could only choose one science subject and I went for Physics. Also, I believe that as English was only a second language, it is not classed as an equivalent for GSCE exam for sure.
Anyone from abroad who is currently employed by NATS cares to give me a bit of an insight into this?
Thank you

Looking for some tips guys?
Hi! I am currently at stage 1 of my assessment and I'm about to take diagrammatic reasoning test as well as spatial reasoning test. I've had couple of practice attempts, turned out a bit better that I expected, but I'm slightly nervous, as the level of difficulty will most likely be higher that in the tests I've taken so far..
Sooo.. Do any of you have any tips with regards to these 2 tests? I would appreciate any help!
Feel free to e-mail me at [email protected].
Thanks!!

Stage 3
So I passed stage 2. Absolutely delighted!
However, has anyone sat stage 3? I’m told there’s a further computer test and interview with competency based questions. Can anyone give further insight into the computer test and also maybe an example of the types of questions I’ll be faced with?
Many thanks
