Nice one, well done. So when is your stage 3? Three of us have ours next week! I am getting really nervous now as i want this more than anything. My tower visit was awesome!

Just had the reminder email through.

Through to the final stage of assessment and it says if you are successful you will be invited to attend a medical lol! Even at the final stage you don't get it saying, if you pass....WELL DONE

I also have stage 2 tomorrow, feeling exactly how you are, though i'm not getting too worked up about it, i'll just try my hardest and thats all i can do. Maybe see you tomorrow, i'll be wearing a red shirt (I'll also be the one with the Scottish accent lol). Good luck to everyone with stage 2 tomorrow.

Norroll

Hi Norroll,

I am yet to know my results for stage 1 but my experience and yours is like a tale of two cities. The only comparable performance I had was for the ATC motivation paper and SDT questions.

If you are 100% sure about the accuracy you are projecting, then I can comfortably say it doesn't get that much better than that! I would suggest you rather start preparing for stage 2 than worry about stage 1 because you WILL pass subject of course, to what you are saying.

I hate you.....lol making me jealous. I have Stage 3 next week, i just want to do it now. How long did stage 3 results take for you? Did they call or email? What do you want Aero or Area? If it all goes well we could possibly be starting at the same time.

Congrats on passing the medical! How long ago did you turn in your security form?

Sebby, took them 13 days to get back to me after my stage 3. The waiting was horrible considering it took them less than a day to inform me when I passed stage 2. If you and Pugwash end up in the Area course in February then we'll end up meeting.

Noroll, you are worrying too much on how many you did rather on how many you did correctly. When I did my tests I don't remember finishing anything. Hell, on the cubes I finished less than half of them.

Thanks DIAF,the reason why I m worried about how many it is because my accuracy could be between 92 and 100 per cent more or less, and I think that fourteen of twenty in numeracy is not a good mark, but you are right I shouldn´t be so concerned, all has already done.

Pugwash,

You're still waiting for the security vetting to go through?!?! Jesus, you passed S3 long before me....

How was the 2nd medical? I have mine this Friday...not too worried but would like to have it out of the way.

A little worried about the security vetting though if you're still waiting on it. I would really like to have a start date so I have something to work towards. I hate being in this continuous limbo!

Even when you get your contract, they still say it's subject to security, so expect that for a while yet.

Just a quick word of warning - even if HR say you're on a particular course, that isn't guaranteed. You'll get a contract much nearer the start date, which is a bit more guaranteed, but start dates are still negotiable after that point.

Don't go quitting jobs, moving out, etc for a while yet!

Nah not quitting any jobs just yet (as tempting as that would be)....it would just be nice to have a date to work towards.

Can't come quick enough in my opinion!

Diaf you took 1 day to hear after stage 2 and 13 days after stage 3- well that was exactly the same time frame for me! like you i was a bag of nerves with the waiting- after about 8 days i just tried to stop worrying.

Jochi- goodluck with teh CAA medical- you'll be fine, they're quite nice and they're were a couple of chatty pilots having their medical done when i was there. Mr only problem was that i'm a bit of a lardarse- the doctor told me so, but then said that as it didn't seem to be affecting my lifestyle then he'd pass me! It didn't help that i was only about the 3rd person to have a class 3 european medical so they weren't too sure of the requirements! The tests are basically the same as NATS, but slightly more in depth aaprt from the lack of a drugs test (which surprised me)- the results are much more accurate than for NATS and they also do cholesterol too. The medical centre is easy to find- they make it sound complicated- but just look out for a big grey building next to a junction and you'll be fine. Expect the medical to take 3 hours at least. Getting the ticket is a huge bonus.

Security- i'm just going to presume that i'm going to pass security- there is no reason for me to fail, and i've fully explained anything that could be a slight problem.

Paperclip810- don't deflate my sails too badly lol! i'm on a bit of high that i seem to be basically done and should be starting college.

Hoping to start area in Feb along with some of you other guys- say hello in the lounge!

stage 3 results

Hi I had my stage 3 last mon (21st) and have still not heard anything! I personally don't think it went well, but its the anticipation of not knowing either way! Its only been 9 days tomorrow, not that I'm counting, but I heard so quickly from s1 and s2, I'm not used to waiting this long! X

Anyone take their stage 3 on the 18th September?

If so, how did you get on?

Anyone about to take their's - I'm more than happy to answer any specific questions you may have.
