You cannot remember the exact words, was it not summat like:

"London Control clears Ascart 123 to join controlled airspace at Malby, level FL 190 (or whatever) squawking 4321 contacting London on 123.45"?

if memory serves....

.....it went something like......ASCOT **** is cleared to destination via flight planned route to join controlled airspace 5 nm north of malby level at FL80. The squawk when directed will be **** and the frequency will be ***.**. Normally delivered at the holding point north side for 26.......if you were not taking the full length that is.
