Spot on, the Narval was intended to be a French shipborne fighter, the programme was abandoned after 43 flights and many issues.

Looks like a bit of 2 1/2" downpipe It does. But I think they're a bit bigger - I'm estimating around 4 or 5 inches in diameter. Only produces approximately 35 lbs of thrust.
