As this thread now appears to be a tems & conditions Q&A it has been moved to D&G Questions.

Heard yesterday that crews are already training in Singapore. From what I have read here they would be check/training?

Tidbinbilla

Please return this thread to D & G Reporting Points where it was more active. There was a lot of interest and information in the posts.

It has died since you moved it.

Being interviewed for Cruise FO, company told me pay was 45-60K, all inclusive (whatever that means). Where you end up in that bracket depends on individual experience. Where did 93K come from? Makes a big difference....

Pay for cruise pilot's.
Initial phone contact 73k-81k inclusive of super.

At inteview 45k-60k! Training wage 80% of that!

-45k for CPL holders.
-60k for ATPL holders.

Final approval has not yet been given by the board on the pay structure, so this may change, hopefully for the better.

Thanks HH. On par with my info. The training wage is news to me though. The figures are awefully a lot like QF.

What a joke if you are expected to attend an interview, yet they have not even finalised a renumeration package to offer you. Imagine the public booking a seat to LA and giving their credit card details yet not knowing what the ticket might cost them. Talk about horse and cart. A joke.

How the hell could you even consider deciding on a job with VA if you don't know what you are going to be getting paid.

VONKLUFFEN

...come with a number of type rating trainings included ( depends on the deal with Boeing or Airbus )
Anyway, if there is a bond deducted from pay (as stated in the application ) those who have attended the interview know if this money will be refunded after, lets say 2 or 3 years, when you have "paid" for it with hard and productive work? Some airlines do it this way to prevent drives from leaving before a number of years.
What else, besides money, can you tell about the interview?

Ok so the capt/fo invites are out. Nobody keen to comment on the terms/conditions! No pilot shortage if they still require you to obtain a rating. :=

I am interested to hear the final offer for Captain's and F/O's, if the cruise F/O offer is anything to go by, I wonder how many they will get!

jetblues

The final offer will be whatever is required to discourage the VB mainline drivers from wanting to move. Then VA and VB's crewing problems are solved.

What a s@*t industry we all work in.

Jetbules how wrong you are! VB guys/gals not required to pay for type rating if transferring. All non typed off the street will pay full cost after training or salary sacrifice over 18 months. All other T/C's as whats already been talked about on this thread. V OZ must think we are all F*&^%n desperate for a job....:=

What Jetbues is say is that why would any VB 737 Captain want to take a paycut to fly a 777. This is exactly what VB management is hoping we all think. And most will stay put.:ugh:

It looks as if it is still not possible to apply on line to V Oz! Are they going to Dubai to interview if so any ideas on how I can sneak in for an interview then?
Cheers

WRONG! There is a 3 year bond...:ooh:

Couldn't afford to sacrifice anyway from the wages on offer!;)

In V Australia do you get to wear that disgusting ****ty brown uniform like the Virgin Blue pilots?

At LEAST at Virgin there is no crap ties or Hats!

Howard Hughes, the contract in front of me has no mention of 3 year bond, only pay for training in full or salary sacrifice (18 months) You been told otherwise (not from a mate of a mate)?

Howard Hughes
28th Apr 2008, 08:38
I was told at an interview, mind you several of the conditions on offer have already changed a number of times, if you have it in writing, then perhaps that is the 'final offer'!

for good terms and conditions I will wear a clown suit if thats what they want. I am not sure how much a tie/jacket/hat with scrambled eggs on the peak is worth to you? To me, not wearing them is not a very good replacement for crappy T & C's.:=

Probably part of the problem!
