5 more aircraft at Manchester confirmed. 2 more this winter then 3 next summer. Makes 17 based in total. Will make MAN largest U.K. Easyjet station outside of London, and 3rd after LGW and LTN.

bristol currently has 16 based and I'm guessing there be more to base too so is that strictly true ?

LAX_LHR 12th Jul 2018 11:32

Well yes it is true, as 17 confirmed is a larger number than 16 confirmed (but even so, I saw a post stating BRS is 15 based, not 16). It was also a direct quote from Ali Gayward so I’d say it’s true.

Has any new intra-European flights been released today, or is it all ex-UK?

LAX_LHR 12th Jul 2018 21:31

There were 24 routes announced today in total, 16 from the U.K. and 8 from intra-EU, but, the routes elude me at this time.

easydan319 13th Jul 2018 07:24

The 8 new Intra-European routes which went on sale are:

Basel - La Palma
Berlin Tegel - Innsbruck
Berlin Tegel - Hurghada
Berlin Schoenefeld - Gran Canaria
Berlin Schoenefeld - Lanzarote
Milan Malpensa - Hurghada
Nice - Porto
Venice - Lanzarote

Lots of winter-centric routes as expected Canaries, Egypt & Ski - as expected Berlin, but very little from France, despite them saying it will be a focus over the next year...

Gurnard 16th Jul 2018 16:28

A321-251NX in service today, first flight by G-UZMA being LGW-FAO.

Robin757 16th Jul 2018 17:53

Does anybody know if EasyJet will be flying from either Newcastle or Manchester to Geneva in the summer of 2019?

toledoashley 18th Jul 2018 06:48

Am I right in assuming that LTN-Krakow & Gibraltar is a direct replacement for Hamburg?

What easyJet say and what easyJet do are two very different things. Just ask anyone from Glasgow...

compton3bravo 19th Jul 2018 06:34

I see that easyJet are threatening to sue French ATC over the disruptions over the last number of years. All I can say is Best of British on that one, you'll need it!

That’s the over dramatic headline. They’ve lodged a formal complaint with the European Commission alongside Ryanair and IAG.

Something gone pear shaped at MAN today ? Belfast, Vienna & Berlin all cancelled (Sunday 22nd)

mikkie4 23rd Jul 2018 06:55

Still nothing extra for SEN for winter 18/19

A friend of a friend was at the airport for 11 hours before being sent home after the Berlin flight was eventually cancelled. No reason given tho.

Scottie Dog 23rd Jul 2018 13:29

To cancel without any explanation is disgusting, it does not matter whether you are using an agent or self-handling. easyJet customer relations need to get their act together before they go down ths Ryanair route.

I can feel an email to Ali Gayward, EZY Commercial Manager, coming up.

davidjohnson6 23rd Jul 2018 14:01

Sounds like someone at Berlin forgot about the catch-all excuse, namely "operational reasons". Works brilliantly with most pax - haven't got a clue how to challenge it and can be used for almost any possible cause

a reason is always given, customers receive a text message, an email, ground handling agents are told and expected advise customers and details are put on flight tracker.

Captain C
A rather sweeping statement.......but no reason given to me and a large number of pax at Luton on Feb28th this year
Never did find the reason even after, at one stage, my 64min55sec call to the easyJet call centre in Cape Town.
I just assumed it’s a bit like when a bus runs into your car and the bus driver says that the company insists he/she must never admit liability to the complainant.
