With Flybe today signing a wet lease agreement with Stobart to supply 2 E195's, can we assume that these will be made up from G-FBEL/M/N which in any case were due to leave the Flybe fleet in Q3 '17? Apologises as a little confused

MDS 3rd May 2017 14:28

Just checked Flybe's website.. from DSA, AGP and FAO have no available flights after October.

ALC, AMS, etc. are showing as bookable thru February 2018.

This indicates to me the axing of the routes; whether it's permanent or seasonal is another question. It could also reflect a possible redeployment of at least a single E195 away from DSA to another base.

SWBKCB 3rd May 2017 15:05

So has the 195 currently at SEN come from replacing a 195 at DSA with a 175?

Cazza_fly 3rd May 2017 15:31

There will only be 1x based E175 at DSA for the winter 2017/18 season.

davidjpowell 3rd May 2017 19:21

I dread what happens when that goes tech.

SWBKCB 3rd May 2017 19:47

At a wild guess, they'll fix it or position something else in to operate? They've got a few, and other a/c in the fleet that they can sub in.

Not sure why it would be different from any other airliner?

And there's always Jota and Titan etc. if they are short

There has been talk that for the leaner routes they are going t lease Easterns Saab2000's. Some Flybe to be trained on them with a mix of Eastern crew.

Cheaper apparently.

Looking at the DSA schedule there are some new destinations creeping in .

SWBKCB 6th May 2017 11:43

Such as?

Presumably you don't mean the codeshares with Air France via CDG? They've been available on the Flybe website for a while.

You're a little late with that news! That was in the winter release in mid April!

Munich (Nov 17)
Nice (Nov 17)
Nuremburg (nov 17)
Palma Majorca (Jul 17)
Zurich (May 17)

Cazza_fly 8th May 2017 09:43

Other than the Doncaster to Palma route (which was announced a couple months back or so) non of these are really new routes and as previously mentioned, they are Flybe codeshare flights via CDG with Air France. I believe Nice has however recently replaced the previous option of Madrid as a through booking service.

Ideally DSA needs to be an option on the Air France / KLM websites. However at the moment the best way would be to use the Flybe one stop to the world site.

What about Norwich?

Navpi 9th May 2017 07:09

Flew Flybe LHR last week 50% load factor!

Flew Flybe LHR last week 50% load factor!
Depending on the fare that might work on Dash. It wouldn't (and didn't for Virgin) work on an A320.

Navpi 9th May 2017 07:38

Flew Flybe LHR EDI last week 50% load factor !

Good service but a wee bit ponderous. Seemed to take forever.

22/04 9th May 2017 07:58

Probably took you 20-30 minutes longer but quite literally saved a ton of fuel

LEEDS APPROACH 9th May 2017 19:24

LBA will be pushing for this airline to continue DUS - post Jet2 (and that's an understatement) in my opinion.
