Pegasus

I see on the Luton Airport Wikipedia page, Pegasus are shown as moving to Luton in Match with flights to Ankara, Istanbul & Izmir.

Great news, the airport really is doing well at present attracting new airlines & routes, Pegasus are an excellent addition.

LAX_LHR 20th Oct 2013 18:24

Pegasus site and GDS shows all flights bookable from STN past March.

While I appriciate things can change I would trust the pegasus site over Wikipedia. Lets not forget any soul can change a wikipedia page, but not the pegasus website (the wikipedia site likely changed by a LTN supporter).

Buster the Bear 20th Oct 2013 18:25

According to Stansted airport web site, there are no flights to the three destinations listed above during summer 2014.

If this is true - BLIMEY!

Pegasus

What do you make of this then? :D Flights London Luton International - Izmir Adnam Menderes with Pegasus Airlines | Bookings and customer reviews

and this

Pegasus Airline flights from Luton to Bodrum

jdcg 21st Oct 2013 10:35

Nothing really concrete as yet to say that Pegasus is moving to Luton and dumping STN. Both airports are more or less equidistant for the big Turkish community living in London (near me!), but access to LTN via M1 and public transport is much less reliable. Unless they're just adding capacity since EZY dropped out I can't see any sense in the move.
TK have been laying on massive capacity to IST and SAW recently though so competitors must all be suffering.

What do you make of this then?
Absolutely naf all!!!

Let's have a look at this one...

Flights Bristol - Istanbul with Pegasus Airlines | Bookings and customer reviews

...Or even this one!!!!!

Flights Nuremberg - Liverpool with Pegasus Airlines | Bookings and customer reviews

So does this mean then that Pegasus will start flying from Bristol to Istanbul, or even Liverpool to Nuremberg???

I really don't think so!!!

As for your second link...

Air France flights from Luton to Istanbul

So does this mean Air France will start flying from Luton to Paris???

Sorry LTNman, but I think your point is flawed!!!:{

LTNman 21st Oct 2013 10:55

Yes you are right, but it was a nice thought for a few minutes:{ But we will have to wait and see who has the real tears when the dust has settled.

I wish now I had provided a link for Pegasus and Southend Airport. It would have got the Southend thread going a treat:E

FRatSTN 21st Oct 2013 11:01

Pegasus at Luton has also been removed from Luton, Sabiha Gokcen, Izmir, Ankara and "Pegasus destinations" Wikipedia pages (it wasn't me just to clarify that!!)

Like I say... It's not in impossible move, but I have still yet to find anything concrete about it and I personally (like jdcg says) can't really see much sense in the move.

Oh dear, you've heard about it then. That was supposed to be kept very quiet until the announcement. :)

LGS6753 21st Oct 2013 16:26

Turkish 738W in today with a tiddlywinks team from Germany.
MNG's A330 in last night.
FlyDubai 738W due in to Monarch on Weds.

Surely this means every Turkish and Gulf airline is due to start regular scheduled services next week... Doesn't it?

pabely 21st Oct 2013 19:14

All these new routes and maintenance contracts, the new management really need to slip in a second runway, new terminal and infrastructure before the NIMBEYs notice :}

Mr @ Spotty M 21st Oct 2013 20:48

MAEL have been working on B737NGs at various line stations for years, including looking after a B737NG this summer for Sunwings.
They have been performing base maintenance work on Jet2 B737NGs for nearly a year now at MAN.
The Fly Dubai due on Wednesday (A6-FEH) is on a delivery flight from BFI.
