The word ignorant in the headline was in fact used in a descripitive sense to draw you in. (Please read the Sun and the sub editor's headlines)
The actual sense in the post was the adjective.
Geordie could in fact be used in either sense in the headline or the post.

I see they have sold their Beech 200 and Cleveland flying school.

Looks like "Security" is doing a good job at MME. Given the airport's current rate of contraction it looks like they'll soon have the safest airport in Brtiatin.

The most amazing thing about the airport's change of name some time ago is that people still travel from LBA and NCL "because there weren't any flights from Teesside." Change your name at your peril.

Google "Teesside", then Google "Durham" and you'll understand the reason for the name change.

If the people of smoggieland don't realise there's an airport between NCL and LBA, I think we know who to blame - and it isn't the airlines who wanted to try and attract more inbound traffic...

I think the Manchester Evening News must be part of the Labour Government Spin Machine which the MP for Middlesbrough Stuart Bell has beeen reading before giving his considered opinion on the state of Teesside Airport.
As an aside Bell has homes in London and Paris ( yes the French Paris ) and does not sully his hands with us Northerners.

Googling Teesside gives the airport on number 4. Durham doesn't show the airport on page 1.

but the first page for Durham does give you the University, Durham City Tourism, the Cathedral - all things that might make an inbound tourist think "that looks nice, I think I'll go there..." - the first page for Teesside doesn't i.e. the second entry is Wikipedia, which says:

The point of changing the airport name was to raise its profile amongst inbound loco customers so they might come here rather then Prague or Dublin or Budapest and who might not know where Teesside was or what they would find when they got here, but had heard of Durham so might have a look.

Assumption would be that locals would be able to work out that Durham Tees Valley and Teesside were the same place

Not saying it's right, but that would be the thinking.

Presume he has none as the second Be 200 was there yesterday.

Northern Aviation have sold the flying club and their King Air G-ONAL but still seem to be operating the charter side with the other King Air that's leased, as well as the Citation in Newcastle.

Oh I think you will find I do!! The other Be200 there yesterday..where yesterday? wasn't in DTV ? The Citation hasn't flown for 4 months i am reliably informed..just keeping the information correct!

Beech 200 was parked on stand 13 DTVA at 15.00 Sunday.

you either do not understand that when planes are not on the ground they are doing work, companies including Northern get paid for this. Therefore just because the aircraft was not on stand it does not mean bad things are happening. Your comments are not helpful and as far as I know high, wide and grossly off target. Yes CFS has been sold on which in the current climate is a good thing for Northern, likewise GONAL also moved on and the current TP is I believe leased which again is a good move. Finally the Citation is new to Northern and before revenue flights can be made it needs to be added to the AOC (have you ever done anything which involves the CAA?) additionally crew need to be trained on type. Northern is a small but ambitious operator making, in my opinion the right moves, you are of course entitled to your opinion but back it up with sensible comments and facts please.
PS No I do not work for Northern.

The Citation (G-CEUO) arrived at Newcastle on 23/12/08 - so it has flown in the last four months. I agree that when discussing the health of companies and thus people's livelihoods, it is important to keep the information correct.
