How come Tommy cook are getting another aircraft i thought they were trying to get rid of aircraft.
Well some of their aircraft they decided to sell and lease back so maybe that has cut the cost. Plus some of their 757's have gone and I'm not sure how many more are planned to go but I would imagine it's when the A321's start coming in.

They have an A330-200 due before the end of they year and an A321 due from Condor in February and also some more A321's on order :)

The A330-200 for Thomas Cook is due to be delivered on 1st October 2013 and will be registered as G-CHTZ

Condor

Noticed on FTC website that some of the S14 Flights ex MAN are ops by Condor (DE)

VickersVicount 26th Aug 2013 21:41

Suggested elsewhere last month

Im guessing condor must be basing an a/c in MAN next year to increase capacity?

TCX69 27th Aug 2013 17:32

Well here is G-WWBM freshly painted into it's new livery. Soon to be G-CHTZ.

Well it's certainly been an expensive weekend for TCX at EMA

I counted at least 6 flights with >4hr delays, plus the 'downrange' flights which would also have been delayed >4hrs, plus the engineering costs, plus 2 sets of c.180 passengers put up in the on-site hotels.

caaardiff 27th Aug 2013 22:37

Apparently 5 a/c AOG Fri/Sat.
2x 7hr delays at CWL on saturday, 1 being subbed to AEA

Just shows how little I know. :\ I never realised that a change of reg was even possible. Why would anyone change a reg please?

chaps2011 28th Aug 2013 08:37

There are many reasons operators change reg, to reflect airline or initials
of board or to cover it`s recent past ( previous operator went bust) or previous
operators personalised registration ie: Monarch or Virgin
That is only an idea orf reasons

Thanks Chaps. I understand now thanks but never realised it was possible.

Delays have continued into today, i think 2 A321 went tech seperately. Feel sorry for the crews expecting to go to Bodrum at 1940 and leaving at 0115+ is pretty tiring to say the least. Guess no subcharters avail?

Burnie5204 29th Aug 2013 21:56

Well one of them had just got running, operated an outbound flight then hit a flock of racing pigeons on landing back in blighty making it AOG until they could get a new radome delivered and fitted as well as a new windscreen that had cracked.

Thomas Cook confirms Flybe partnership

Well it seems they have publically confirmed the partnership today for the 'mini-hub' at Manchester.

Flybe will be able to connect customers from it's UK domestic services to and from Manchester onto longhaul flights operated by Thomas Cook Airlines from next summer...

Im bored of all the TCX delay posts. Its the usual summer not sure we need to know about every 4 hour delay.

Just reading through the previous page I noticed MCO was mentioned and wondered if this was correct or a typo?

I fly to MCO/SFB all the time and its only BA & VS that use MCO although TOM did briefly a few years back. It would seem a bit strange if they were flying to both airports as opposed to just SFB.

Or are TCX leaving SFB for MCO & if so why?

I think this question was answered a few weeks ago when it was stated that TCX was moving from SFB to MCO to join partner airline Condor.

airhumberside 10th Sep 2013 18:55

Condor don't serve MCO

AirGuru 12th Sep 2013 10:28

Smartlynx A320 has apparently been confirmed at CWL for Summer 2014 by another source. Its based A321 is going to Stansted along with the flight deck crew. CWL will maintain its TCX cabin crew.

PhilW1981 12th Sep 2013 17:29

Any chance someone could tell me which aircraft is doing Man - BJV tomorrow evening, also, where is the same aircraft going earlier in the day please.
