Adverse weather in FNC today. Strong winds & wind shear. TCX not the only ones to finish the day in the Canaries.

I understood that the 767's were going permanently to DE. Ah well, good to see them back next year haha, even if they never touch the NE.

TOM100 21st Oct 2014 07:30

I suspect the crew were out of hours to leave fnc rather than anything to do with the weather.......

BFS Dude 25th Oct 2014 22:29

When does Winter 2015/16 flights go on sale for Thomas Cook? Thanks!

Travel Agent 25th Oct 2014 23:41

Some long haul holidays such as Cuba are already on sale, not sure when flight only or the rest of destinations are due to launch though.

BFS Dude 26th Oct 2014 00:05

Thanks Travel Agent guess it will be soon! :)

EK77WNCL 26th Oct 2014 01:58

Probably beginning of next year I think, some time between January and March they should be finalised

ericlday 26th Oct 2014 11:24

Good god we are not into 2015 and questions asked about 2016 !

EK77WNCL 26th Oct 2014 12:04

I'm also trying to think back how many times that question has already been asked/answered

Flying.Penguin 26th Oct 2014 12:45

Maybe we should have a thread titled "Alasdair1's questions". :p

TSR2 31st Oct 2014 17:16

The report says the problem was due to an 'overwing slide unit' becoming detached.

Charley B 31st Oct 2014 17:56

Well done Titan again :)

LAX_LHR 31st Oct 2014 18:39

Seems Thomas Cook is to introduce LGW-RNO (Reno, Nevada).

Given LGW lost most of its TCX long haul, and that TCX were supposedly going to focus on long haul from Manchester (with Condor doing the same at FRA), its a bit of an out-of-the-box route.

adfly 31st Oct 2014 18:56

Unless that is their plan of action for LGW, out of the box routes not served by TOM/BA/VS/DU, as opposed to the 'main' more popular routes they focus on from MAN. It could work well for them if there is enough demand for these kinds of route to be profitable.

Funderblaster 4th Nov 2014 11:42

A winter route for the skiing mob !

Also gaining an additional A330 next summer :ok:

MANFOD 4th Nov 2014 15:12

Quote: "Also gaining an additional A330 next summer"

Are you saying LGW will have an extra A330 or TCX will?

Funderblaster 4th Nov 2014 15:29

TCX will, for the new route plus an increase in frequency for a few others and some standby cover ! :ok:

MANFOD 4th Nov 2014 15:44

So how many A330s will TCX have next summer and where will they be based?
Like LAX LHR, I thought most of the A330 ops were to be at MAN.

Funderblaster 4th Nov 2014 15:56

5 at MAN, 1 at LGW and 1 shared between STN & GLA I believe.

macdo 4th Nov 2014 16:18

that and some more good news coming soon.
