Adverse weather in FNC today. Strong winds & wind shear. TCX not the only ones to finish the day in the Canaries.

I understood that the 767's were going permanently to DE. Ah well, good to see them back next year haha, even if they never touch the NE.

I suspect the crew were out of hours to leave fnc rather than anything to do with the weather.......

Some long haul holidays such as Cuba are already on sale, not sure when flight only or the rest of destinations are due to launch though.

Seems Thomas Cook is to introduce LGW-RNO (Reno, Nevada).


Given LGW lost most of its TCX long haul, and that TCX were supposedly going to focus on long haul from Manchester (with Condor doing the same at FRA), its a bit of an out-of-the-box route.

Unless that is their plan of action for LGW, out of the box routes not served by TOM/BA/VS/DU, as opposed to the 'main' more popular routes they focus on from MAN. It could work well for them if there is enough demand for these kinds of route to be profitable.

TCX will, for the new route plus an increase in frequency for a few others and some standby cover ! :ok:

So how many A330s will TCX have next summer and where will they be based?
Like LAX LHR, I thought most of the A330 ops were to be at MAN.

5 at MAN, 1 at LGW and 1 shared between STN & GLA I believe.
