Just to clarify are you asking for information from 2003? If so I heavily doubt anyone will be able to help you there

The OP has nothing to lose by asking Thomas Cook to look up their tech records, which will contain the information he wants.

If they aren't willing to help, then I agree that it's unlikely anyone else will be able to.

flyinthesky 12th Sep 2014 03:33

Pre 2007 MYT/TCX merger and greater than 10 years ago. Very much doubt that info even exists.

Not even sure why you would want it. Seems pointless to me but whatever floats your boat I guess.

ImPlaneCrazy 12th Sep 2014 15:52

I think your only hope might be the following site - I would look it up for you, but it's quite a long time pressing the down key to get to 2003!! :}

Anyone know why tcx3306 glasgow to Corfu was diverted to athens?

It circled many times and attempted landing twice but then diverted?

A Thomson plane Gatwick to Corfu not so long after did the same thing but was eventually able to land without diverting this evening tom4556

Dear members,
Firstly can I say thank you to members "Im plane crazy, fly in the sky, dave reid uk &charlie 98

D4KY welcome to the Thomas Cook on Pprune.
I was wondering the same last night.
I know it was G-FCLK 757-2YO but would love to find.out the reasons for the athens diversion i suspect it was to refuel but un sure.
You could try [email protected]
Kind regards

Weather at Corfu was the problem. Not uncommon down there at this time of year.

d4ky 15th Sep 2014 20:44

Thanks for the reply. The weather looked fine at the time but perhaps there was more severe ground weather that I did not have any data too.

The Thomson plane eventually landed after circling a while, but this was after the Thomas Cook had diverted an hour or so earlier

A321 G-TCDD now working for Thomas Cook Scandinavia for the winter
FR24 shows it operating out of then back to the Canaries today. Flight time well over 6 hours on the way back down. Can't fail to be impressed by how much the A321 has improved over the years and it still more to come when the NEO begins flying.

LiamNCL 16th Oct 2014 08:56

Is it based in Las Palmas ? I read thats where it is based ? I flew on G-TCDE NCL-SSH / SSH-NCL Last week and have to say the A321 is a really impressive aircraft ,Massive improvement on my last TCX trip 2 year ago on FCLK

alasdair1 16th Oct 2014 11:11

Hi Liam NCL &EGAC is better,
TCDD is LPA based for winter only on lease to Thomas Cook Scandinavia.

Liam did you enjoy the new A321legroom compared to 752?

only four 752's left next summer at present this may change but the four remaining will be:
LI,BB,BC,AN
Three of those based at Gla in summer.
OY-VKA will become G-TCDY
OY-VKB to become G-TCDW
OY-VKE to become G-TCDX
OY-VKT to become G-TCDV
(credit to jethros)

OY-TCD MSN 6314 to be delivered next month to replace a VKG A320
Kind regards

Thomas Cook Airlines

Hi EGAC is best and all,
The A321 was the most cost effective when the decision was made.
I agree the A321 is impressive more now with new technology and.sharklettes, these make the aircraft more aerodynamic and exta fuel burn savings.

I personally love the A321 interiors are spacious compared to the 752.
When the A321NEO comes along I Hope TCX will go for that as it will save more fuel and lighter it also can carry a max of 240 pax and new options for an overwing exit.
Tc are staying ahead of toms 738 .

For long haul I hope they choose either.the A330-800/900 or A330 NEO as its other name.
My other preference would be the A350.

It sounds like im planning their fleet how id love that job but its only my personal choices.
Kind regars

Yes loved the new interior / seating & that fresh aircraft feel like how the windows are scratch free , Much better than the dated FCLK i was last on ! All in all i loved my two trips ive always flew with TCX on my holidays ! I wouldnt mind seeing some of the incomming A321s from Scandinavia being retrofitted with sharklets if im honest

alasdair1 16th Oct 2014 21:45

Liam& all
Glad you enjoyed i havent been on any of the new A321's wish glasgow could hurry and get them.
I hear great comments Tc did config them to 215 but then decided to do 220 in stead.
Thair are three new sharkletted a/c comming in during winter along with the VKG ones Ithink these will be BHX based along with an A320, but hopefully the A321's will be rotated round the bases.

Nice to see freindly members on this forum and I feel glad to be part of this group as like all of you I am passionate about TCx and its other airlines.in the tc group.

Kind regards
Alasdair adam
