Re flybe.Com
Sorry hate to dissapoint you but were not suffering heavy losses as you put it !!- this is normal and definetly not the end of flybe,as today all our flight's on this route have an average of 65-90 pax's on.
These sort of load variation's are normal for ANY airline !!!!
So NO Scaremongering - Thank you !!!!

You may have seen yesterday's loadsheet's - but you obviously do not work for the company and therefore do not know what your on about !!!! as i can guarantee that today our loads are between 65-90 on the LGW's and the majority of our LCY's are full too !!
So in future try to get your fact's correct before posting on here as you obviously cant see the bigger picture....

It ISN`T the number of paxs you carry, but the ticket yield that matters. Plus freight. One airline has subbed an Airbus to 767 carrying only 20 odd paxs, but the holds were full of freight.

to be honest someone who has difficulty locating the shift key or full stop on a keyboard is unlikely to comprehend the complexities of yield management regardless of whether they are a ticket agent or not

Perhaps you should review your own use of grammar and punctuation, before making reference to the shortcomings of others?
I frequently fly on the LCY-BHD (Generally at least twice a week) and the flights usually appearto be 50-60% full....

Sorry folks but I did work for Flybe until recently and Glyn is right. The Belfast routes are up the proverbial creek without the paddly thing!! I still have friends that work at both LCY and LGW and they have told me the loads are LOW to say the least. Sorry to say this but Flybe will drop their LCY BHD route by the end of next year. They are not attracting the W class pax they need on thr LCY BHD route. Cannot knock them for Jersey and Isle of Man though. Try getting a seat on any of these routes on a Friday!!!!!
I'd be disappointed to lose the LCY-BHD route, but of all the routes I take out of LCY, principally Edinburgh and Dublin, these have to have the lowest load factors - despite having gone down from a 146 down through a Dash8-300 and now to the little Dash8-100. It's also noticeable that they have a low proportion of business travellers compared to the other LCY routes. An opportunity for Scot Airways?

Well for the last 6 months of operating "AS" a -200 serise 146 with a -100 serise landing gear, we have been continually
"Landing weight Limited" at LCY.
We have to actually burn off fuel to get down to the landing weight of 35,153 kgs. Even taking off from the IOM with min trip fuel.
I wonder why that is then ?

Hey Smokie no doubt about it Flybe are doing extremely well on the IOM and JER routs out of LCY. I fondly remember all the weight restrictions when AS was operating the IOM and JER route, but lets face it they have no competition for the routes there. We all know that one BHD route has been dropped from LCY this year, well direct one anyway. The lunch time flight now goes via the IOM. Look at how many of those are only going to the IOM though. Take the 116. If there are more that 5 psgrs going through to BHD then you are lucky. Load factors as low as 25% during the week are not helping the situation either. I will be sorry to see LCY BHD go as I do have clients that use it but the writing as been on the wall since they downgraded to a Dash100. Flybes BIG problem is if there is competition then they throw the towel in. Look at STN . Go come in and Flybe disappear. Same with EDI at LCY. I know they have a good codeshare with Scotairways, but for how long???!
