Infinite Flight and Global Airlines are thrilled to unveil the Global Airlines A380 in full livery! With Infinite Flight's pending release, you'll be able to sit in the virtual cockpit and fly to and from airports that can handle the super jumbo. As you enjoy the simulated version in Infinite Flight, rest assured some exciting developments are in the works for Global Airlines in the weeks ahead. Happy flying, everyone!
If it's a virtual cockpit, what need is there to confine your point of arrival to something as trivial as an existing airport that can handle an A380? surely more fun to be had tanking an A380 into Sarfend, LCY, or seeing how it would cope with the Westray/Papa Westyray or the sands of Barra?

Long Distance Aviation
Long-distance aviation in the late 30s – This is how all air travel should be!
For glamorous, long-distance travel in the 1930s, there was nothing to match the grandeur of the Flying Boat. Whilst ocean steam liners and sleeper trains have their charms, surely no other travel vehicle can beat the Pan Am Clipper Class.

Allegedly. They used 006 at Tarbes-Lourdes when they said they'd bought it and plastered it with GLOBAL logos, unless that was just a Photoshop. . But had they actually paid real money for it? ? AFAICMO they now say MSN120 is the one they bought.
Enlightenment anyone?
I think I'd be asking for my money back until 120 gets clean bill of health, but shouldnt this issue have come up during their due diligence before purchase>

Seems that they haven't actually acquired 006 yet and have simply 'agreed' to do so.

Liam McKay, Global Airlines’ international corporate affairs director has confirmed to Runway Girl Network that Global remains loyal to its agreement to acquire MSN 006 through Doric, but that aircraft was ‘overtaken’ by MSN 120. Revealed McKay: We saw a quicker route to commercial operation for MSN 120.

I think we can be pretty confident in saying that MSN 006 will never fly for them, given the requirement for a full refit of the business class. That said, the pictures of the China Southern business class don't exactly scream the sort of luxury that Asquith and co harp on about.
The other four ex-China Southern aircraft in Mojave, which you would assume would be prime candidates for their fleet, are all older than MSN 109.

Four A380s refit…and an operation out of LGW. Of Norse are struggling with the 78 then there must be big space down the back of his sofa to even attempt it…you have to wonder

The virtual office was mentioned a while ago.
They might even be renting a physical desk as Holiday Swap Group spent over £4.8m in 2022, with 4 employees.
We'll have to wait for October for the next exciting filed accounts.

An old quote once read 'an aircraft is a hole made out of aluminium into which you pour lots and lots of money'.
None the less true of today's airframes as they will now be finding out.

Totally agree -- the circuits over the Mojave are being touted as some kinda evidence that the Global 'business plan' stacks up...
Jeez... minutes in the air versus hours over the Atlantic. Anyone who thinks that this means Global is getting any nearer to viable scheduled operations is smoking something..
Ultimately, the boy Asquith may mount some ad hoc charters, or wet lease operations. But that would remain a night and day difference from the 'challenge' to today's transatlantic incumbents story that he tells to the more gullible elements of the media.

Lets remember he recently said along the lines of "Global operated its first flight today".
Global cannot operate anything as it does not have the set up, nor likely ops manuals to be in any position to operate an aircraft.
