Instead of BA, might be an IAG order with aircraft split between BA/IB & EI ?

Know guys in a/c lease business back in Dublin. Will be interesting to learn who is behind the deal. Join the dots on who raised finance (bond issuance) plus lease transactions, will end all the speculation.

What about Lufthansa Group?
Swiss Global Air Lines already operate the type, and LH Group management have made it no secret that they're looking at the type for Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines. The number of aircraft also makes sense for LH Group, as they'd be able to spread them across their airlines.

Flybe have made no secret that they need a fleet renewal plan, and offered to investors that they would issue details before year end.
Whilst it would be a great aircraft to spread their wings across Europe, would it also not simply be too big? The average load factors don't justify an aircraft of this size, unless there are other factors involved. Like an amazing purchase deal.

No chance of Flybe, they had their fingers burnt with the embraers. Still recovering from that mess now. Shame, c series would definitely fit their business plan.
Lufthansa, not sure. The fact that that the purchaser has been kept secret suggests it is a completely new airline? Be surprised if they do not eventually order the c series in great numbers for their various airlines though.

The LCC model is to operate with one common type, the A320 family being one type as far as crewing them are concerned, likewise the B737-6/7/8/9 family.
The economics of the C Series operationally is attractive as we know, but more importantly the introductory pricing that is being mentioned in the media and by Boeing is such that the 'one common type' approach could be turned on its head commercially.
Swiss appears to be very happy with the C Series, and as a part of the Lufthansa group it is completely conceivable that the wider group could look at it. That said the LH groups seem to be a tad disjointed with fleets, e.g. Brussels Airlines does ACMI and LH itself has a bunch of types.
