I think the point is the ambulance chasers are trying to get the interpretation changed so that weather delays are eligible. That’ll be another victory for greed over safety if any judge is stupid enough to fall for it.

I have yet to see a court in Europe that would award compensation based on weather. The problem is that airlines know perfectly well that weather as force majeure is their best available escape hatch so they play the weather card often in cases where the real reason was poor organization, operational chaos that was only remotely, if at all, linked to bad weather.

Was looking at going to GLA for a day and was looking at booking BHD-GLA with Flybe and GLA-LDY with Loganair. Look's like both ways could be on a LM ER4 if this turns out to come true on the day:

Signs of increasing co-operation between the "exes" again I wonder?

Good use of the 'extra' Emb145, though lets hope they still have the spare too, as a fair few significant delays of late which is not great for the newly launched routes needing to build up patronage with good reliability.

I think they still will have one in ABZ. I'll need to check it fully.

They move them around so much it's hard to keep track.
Of the 4 @ 135's SAJT looks like it's heading for Lisbon today (could be maintenance). SAJU is on the Kerry charter from ABZ
Of the 13 @ 145's I can only see one aircraft on the Airbus charter. RJXH is doing the BE flights, GLA BHD.
SAJF went to GLA on Jul 30th from LDY and has been idle since. SAJH is at LDY but has not been flown today. I can't find anything on SAJL, so assume it has not flown for a week.
So not a lot of slack to play with, I suppose they can fall back on the Saab's if necessary.

The Loganair fleet Currently consists of over 40 aircraft - namely the Embraer 135/145, Saab 2000, Saab 340, Twin Otter and Islanders. From September 2019, we will be introducing the ATR to our fleet with a view to replace the Saab 2000 and eventually the Saab 340.

presumably with a long term view of ATRs and Islander/Twotters only?
Get used to the gas guzzling jets while you can! The passengers are being spoiled..
(Will try one tomorrow infact!)

Maybe in the future Loganair would consider the EMB 170 for a few of their better performing routes with the ATR taking on the rest? Although you obviously wouldn’t want the same mistakes as Flybe.

I think by the time that Loganair are considering replacing ERJs for their longer and wider routes, the SpaceJet M100 could be a much better choice than the E170 with their high seat costs. The M100 would certainly look great in the Loganair livery, as they look a lot like grown up Saab to me with their similar layout and proportions.
That is, of course only if Loganair could get them for a reasonable price.

It’s hard to see what they’d eventually replace the EMB with if they want to keep jet capability.
with Mitsubishi taking over the CRJ programme they certainly seem to want to build themselves up in the regional jet market.

From memory it was late September/Early October last year. Someone else could probably clarify more and funnily enough, I’m in the same position looking to book flights from LDY.
