I have yet to see a court in Europe that would award compensation based on weather. The problem is that airlines know perfectly well that weather as force majeure is their best available escape hatch so they play the weather card often in cases where the real reason was poor organization, operational chaos that was only remotely, if at all, linked to bad weather.
