Yes, some mention of them only carrying about 6 pax per flight at the moment. Or, was it 6 per day ?

I see one of the Dorniers has just routed GCI-NWI - presumably with crew to retrieve the Embraer?

Random question: How many sets of crew does Aurigny employ for the Embraer 195?

To answer my own question, the Embraer did route back to GCI yesterday afternoon, and can be seen parked up on the island here Aurigny GCI webcams

Do.228 G-LGIS
Made its final flight today. Pictures can be found on the Aurigny Facebook page. This leaves just two operational Dorniers - both NGs.

ADS-B Exchange currently shows G-OAUR routing north from GCI up the middle of the UK in the general direction of EMA?

Well said kockayne. Why would a government owned airline want to take on commercial risks? The investment by SOG is to ensure lifeline routes at least cost to the islands, and ensure the island has connectivity to mainland commercial and financial centres not to take commercial risk and become bigger and bigger like previous CI airlines ,eg FlyBe

PS The fleet mix is dictated by the following factors-
E195 to give Max seat capacity on GWK route
Dorniers - largest ac that can operate from ACI
ATR 72 seats most compatible with
demand from U.K. regional airports.

With the way it is run at the moment, instead of losing 4 - 10 million a year, it would lose maybe 40 - 100 million if it were to expand ! :-)
