If you wanted to keep connectivity why not just pay for an airline to operate those flights as have been done on the Newquay to London service? Much cheaper than the cost of running an airline. I'm not saying Aurigny should become massive like Flybe, but if there is a business case why shouldn't they look to expand a little, it's got to be better than constantly making a financial loss which the taxpayer has to foot the bill for.
With the way it is run at the moment, instead of losing 4 - 10 million a year, it would lose maybe 40 - 100 million if it were to expand ! :-)
