I do wonder where the "concerns" actually lay..
"Concerns" do not provide opportunities in moving markets forwards.
"Concerns" do not provide employment & advancement.
"Concern" does not provide business.
Rather unworthy pulling the example of Excel & stating" Icelandics involved" surely.. what does that prove?...
& possibly borderline slur & defamatory to boot for Icelandic nationals.
As another of the examples Debonair was not, as CEO Franco Mancassola does not have a Nordic ring to it...so what is your point.
If being made redundant personally is another of the angst drivers...well sorry to hear of your 4 which beats my claim, but unless having lived a charmed life many many will have experienced it within the industry & do not normally turn so negative.

Interesting analyses showing how if we went worst worst case scenario Brexit, STN would suffer the most.
Obviously with RYR looking for a UK AOC, this will make it redundant, but just highlights how much Uk-EU traffic there actually is
Brexit affect; could British airports lose out in the wake of the UK's EU exit?

EasyJet
Some extra EZY flights added for the summer season. No new routes but changes I'm aware of are:
Bilbao - extra frequencies in May/June to 11x weekly, 13x weekly from July
Dubrovnik - increase to 6x weekly (daily ex Monday)
Ljubljana - increase to 10x weekly (now 2x Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday)
Malaga - increase to 10x weekly (Sunday late evening departure added)
Menorca - increase to 2x weekly (Tuesday flight added)
Munich - increase to daily (Monday and Friday evening flights added)
An overall slight increase on last summer though no additional based aircraft.

Just looked at fares. Air Corsica is £49.00 one way on the 1st July.
This seemingly has the bag, seat and snacks services included. As mentioned by Daz.
EasyJet however is £85.00 with seats and a bag.
Also Air Corsica have better flight times leaving STN at 09.30 where EasyJet is in the morning rush at 06:00.
If I was booking to Corsica I k ow who I’d be flying with.

STN/MAG has today lodged a planning application with the local authorities to raise the cap on the number of pax permitted from 35 to 43mppa..
In the statement MAG forecasts 35mppa will be reached in the next 4-5 years..
"STN will be the fastest growing London airport in 2018"..

Air Corsica have had a good stab at marketing their routes. As well as social media I’ve seen barrier ads at Liverpool Street, and I’ve seen taxis and buses driving around central London.

I’ve seen quite a bit of online advertising. Also their and ‘Corsica Tourism’ adverts pop up a lot on the flight information screens in the departure lounge.
I think some airlines could learn from them.

Why another route that is already being served from STN there is lots to choose out there and yes I would prefer air Corsica over easyjet it just lacks imagination in my opinion.

Looking at the planning portal for the application to 45mppa some details for added infrastructure include yet another Rapid Exit Turnoff from the R/W this one to be designated RET "MR" (Mike Romeo)....
& with yet another Rapid Access Turn to the R/W this one to be RAT "T" (Tango).
3 new aircraft stands for Apron "E"...
& surprisingly with their location 5 midfield remote parking stands between the parallel
taxiways north of the "Z" FedEx apron & to known as the "Y"s (Yankees).
The added infrastructure will enable ops of 274,000 aircraft movements per annum & a thru put of 43mppa.
Determination date for the application is set for 24.5.18.
Further from MAG`s statement the application will support 5,000 new jobs at the airport.
Since the acquisition MAG have increased pax numbers by 10m....
Have doubled the number of airlines to 22....
Added 40 new routes....
& doubled the economic contribution to the area to £2b which will double again.....
