They will add a further 4 million within the existing boundary in around 18 months to 2 years and award themselves planning permission to increase the total as there is a cap. A constraint is night time restrictions. We will have to wait and see if they try to increase that figure.

It has been noted on several occasions that the high class top end shops never have anyone in them apart from staff while the likes of WH Smiths and the new Boots are really busy.
I know - but the margin on lots of their goods is enormous so they don't have to. The perfume that I typically pay £75 for as a nice bring home present for my daughter probably costs at most only a few pounds to produce.

Maybe I am daft? I thought consultation was still open on the new road to Tinminal 2, sorry I meant Century Park? How can it have gained planning permission? Mr Confused Bear.

Buster is correct. Comments to be read out at the planning meeting are open until April 11th but we are talking about Luton Borough Council who don’t need to hear any evidence because it is council policy to build these roads. Also it is worth pointing out that the application was in complete beach of the Local Plan that was only adopted 18 months ago.

it wouldn’t surprise me if Lee Baker Street was on the planning committee.

I randomly looked at the departure board and noticed these 10 Ryanair arrivals. Think Luton has 6 based aircraft now??? so 4 ( edit) must be non Luton based.
15:25, Lanzarote
15:25 Copenhagen
15:55 Tenerife
16:05 Athens
17:05 Bologna
17:10 Cork
17:15 Faro
17:15 Dublin
18:25 Genona
19:10 Malta

Why on a W pattern? Ryanair has based aircraft in at least half those destinations.

Look for the outbounds that go back to the same destinations half an hour later. Faro, Gerona, most likely

Now that the original Brexit day has passed, EasyJet and Wizzair seem to have separated out their UK/European operations. Most EasyJet flights using Luton are now flown with UK registered aircraft and using the EZY flight code. Some flights from EU destinations are operated by Austrian registered aircraft, carrying EJU codes and callsign Alpine.
Similarly, Wizzair UK flights are operated using G- registered aircraft and W9/WUK codes, whereas most Wizzair flights use the Hungarian registered fleet and W6/WZZ codes. There is some crossover, but not much.
All Ryanair flights still use FR code and Irish-registered fleet (not even sure if any aircraft are G- registered).

Today has seen the first Level flight, on the morning Amsterdam service previously operated by Vueling. Upgrade from A320 to A321.

That is some figure considering Easter was in March last year. It might not have a very good reputation but it doesn't seem to stop people using it.

Probably due to March 2018 having lots of cancellations due to “The Beast from the East”? Which would account for the uplift

It is a mystery that over 3 months after the terminal was meant to be completed it still isn’t completed although the airport claim it is. All that has happened is that the builders seem to have disappeared.

It is the little things like the Blueair and Easyjet ticket counters are still using temporary structures. Just two of many examples of a long list.

Passed through last month and the staff on one of the ticket counters said they were told work would continue this month and they would move in in May. Guess we shall see.
