Chidken Sangwich...No..I say again this all revolves around the private equity company.. they normally know they hold all the cards having acquired for nominal sums failing or failed companies & holding all the cards are very used to getting all their own way when push comes to shove...Unfortunately for them the Airline Industry is heavily regulated by THE CAA & cannot be bluffed..I read the circumstances surrounding the last affair as THE CAA putting all their tanks or (full house to continue the analogy) on the private equity`s lawn partly perhaps out of exasperation too & guess what? private equity blinked & stumped up & met their obligations at the v last minute.
So no the CAA did not ruin the reputation of the airline, the owners did & indeed have to comply with the same rules every other pax airline in the UK does..
When they paid up so the need to fly many many dozen repatriation flights was avoided so is that not a type of saving anyway.

Edit: Which continue button? I got all the way to the payment screen?
That's likely to be as a result of merchant provider action, and they can shut the show down even if nobody else does :-(
It also suggests there is no intention (or ability) to keep the airline separately from the holiday business.

I pray Monarch Airlines gets through this latest and, hopefully last, period of uncertainty. As a long-time passholder at Leeds Bradford Airport I consider it a great privilege to have hosted Monarch as a based airline for a few years now. There is much history and goodwill connected with the Monarch Airlines brand. Please don't go !

Pretty much exactly as i said on here a year ago, wish all those excellent MON staff the very best of luck for the next few hours, and the future.
Another classic British brand on the chopping board for the second year in a row. Unfortunately i can’t see a solution this time.
Clue will be if inbound aircraft arriving shortly park at gates or remote parking. QR aircraft (A320’s) will also be en-route soon.
