The problem is the BHX/GRO/BHX flights this year are only on Fridays and Mondays-a recipe for trouble from the weekend louts but I understand the Captain and FA's acted quickly and firmly and got the police to offload the mob at BCN and their return tickets were cancelled. SSF

I worked for an airline called TEA UK a few moons ago. Very nice cabin crew called Linda Girona. Her nickname was "night"

First image of G-DRTB, thought they might have fitted winglets? Or are they still to come?

If they don't come fitted, LS won't fit them. The cost of fuel doesn't justify the cost right now. If it shoots up, then they will. Just need it in service ASAP.

They do and will. There are none available for the 300 at the moment. The cost is saved in fuel in about two years.

To say it is commonplace is wrong, it happens but not that frequent.

Well rather than divert - What about SPOT FINES and they don't get their luggage until they pay up.
Diverting is more annoying than listening to the louts IMO, I know flying home after a holiday, I just want to get home as quick as possible
Nice idea but I wouldn't mind betting withholding a passenger's luggage isn't legal. It's not like it is explicitly, or even implicitly, held as collateral for good behaviour.

It happens every day, on most airlines flying out of the UK. There are a few routes that it is much more common on, but no route is safe. It's a sad fact of life nowadays that many people can't distinguish their behaviour from being in a club after having a lot of drinks to being on an aircraft surrounded by children and families. In fact, it's not unheard of for them to come to the aircraft straight from the club, via the airport bar!
That Jet2 is making a stance has seen them in the papers more often as it's a great headline when a flight is diverted, but other airlines are doing it as well. Finally it is becoming accepted that antisocial behaviour on an aircraft is no longer acceptable - nor should it ever have been.

Completely, totally inaccurate.
