RYANAIR v EASYJET
Hello,
I have used both of these airlines, both have pros, and both have cons. But I think it would be an interesting debate to discuss which one overall is better.
Certainly with the amount of airlines going bankrupt or merging into another one, it would be good to see which one is in a stronger position.
I am not starting a war between RYANAIR or EASYJET, just an interesting debate into which one is better!

Oh here we go yawn!!!! 
As one Ryanair/Easyjet thread moves down the page someone feels the need to start another pointless discussion on it again and again.
Go to search and search the countless threads going over this on countless occasions and then make your own minds up. These threads are tedious and boring!!!!

Because this forum is being filled with the same old stories/threads time and time again, think you need to go to specsavers if you can't see any others on here, try the RYANAIR thread for a start.

Ok so a few to get you started, again hit search and you’ll get 80 pages of sub threads with all the Ryanair pro’s and con’s and a further 80 pages “an all you can eat feast of a buffet” on Easyjet. Sorry it’s just to get to the real news/rumors etc we have to go thru the various drivel of threads that repeat themselves over and over again.
As you’ll also see most threads get merged by the mods for this very reason, I’m sure they'd rather not spend half their time doing this.

The answer to the question is really very simple frnikolai.
"Whichever airline meets your requirements when travelling to a particular destination on a particular date within a particular budget."
No single airline can be always better than another because they do not go to the same destinations. If you live close to STN, then you have a lot of choice but if you live near to, say LBA or BRS, then the airline that is best for you is going to be based on which one has more routes nearest to you.
Sorry to be harsh but, the reason that the question is pointless is that - it does not have an answer. So, shall we go back to debating the 'best airline' between BA and VS?

Example: Even if I were a regular flyer in the Congo-Somalia route, I don't think I'd be arguing about Congo Air being a better airline compared to KLM, given that the latter doesn't fly that route.
The question has the potential to give interesting points of discussion for those interested, while the rest can simply skip the thread.
The comparison is also interesting because it's not really comparing apples to apples, being that Easyjet's business model is more "traditional" (flying to mainstream destinations and trying to make money off selling passenger tickets) while Ryanair's approach is a radical change (making money by selling "visitors" and transportation to regional governments and chambers of commerce).
Ryanair seems to take a much higher risk approach to their way of doing business. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

Well I am going to contribute this thread anyway. .. My preference of the two would be easyjet everytime. After my last (and reluctant) trip with Ryanair I vow I will never use them again. But this won't affect Ryanair profits.... If they fly to a destination easyjet don't or are vastly cheaper, then as a fickle beast no doubt I shall use them again.
But if its a choice between the two, I would pay more to fly easyjet rather than Ryanair.
But if you pay peanuts etc. etc. etc.
Having said all that, I have found you can quite often fly BA for nearly the same money once you take into account the airports they use and onward costs etc. And they would be my choice everytime. But that wasn't the question was it.

I worked for 3 years for a ground handling agent on behalf of easyJet, and have flown as a FO for Ryanair for the past year. I have also travelled as SLF on both. Pro's and con's working for/travelling on both. Have to agree that it just comes down to what's best for you.
Thinking about it, this is another pointless thread. You can rant/praise on other threads.
