Why do you think this has gone ? It is on sale on the website.

The day has changed from a Friday to a Monday.

gd44 you are mistaken with you comment that Monarch maintain the GSM B767.
Monarch do carry out most of the hangar checks but only carry out what they are asked to do.
They have no control over what is called up on the checks and the day to day running of the aircraft.
I am sorry, but a few days in a hangar between "C" checks is no way being responsible for maintaining an aircraft.
I stand Corrected.

aircraft was running behind schedule, departed to GLA was making its return to BFS when it was landing it appeared to be quite heavy (bounced a little) apparently the "springs" (im sure theres a more technical term for that) on the landing gear are broken... all PAX put up for the night at the comfort hotel, heading back to BFS for 0600.. aircraft was then towed to stand 26A (i think its 26A?) DHL, TNT and i think their own engineers are hanging around it
quoted from my post in the Belfast thread

everyone was ok, no emergency services attended.. the passengers probably just thought it was a rough landing and thats about it... the disappointment for the PAX who had to come off their plane for the night was no doubt the worst part of it all

Aircraft did not bounce on landing at BFS. landing was 1.16g. Where did that idea come from?
Crew were out of hours and had min rest while a replacement part was found.

I can't believe some of the unfounded tosh that gets written on here!

"I love people who flap off with no background knowledge" so do i gd44 so do i ! ....and yes they eventually got their ETOPS approval back (thanks to monarch) but it says a lot about them as a company that they are the only british carrier that the CAA have ever had to take that sort of action against.

luvly jubbly... there was around 50-60 maybe more who witnessed it go up and come back down a little, so yes it did bounce but we are not talking the same sort of bounce as there was in that beer advert last year....

i guess its still tosh though, ill go remove my eyes and demand that all the staff and passengers who saw it do the same.

The Truth

YOUR CORRECT - THE CAA DID PULL GSM ETOPS.
I WAS IN COLINTON HOUSE ,HEAD OFFICE WHEN THE CAA WERE GRILLLING T.D.

THIS WAS A FEW MONTHS BEFORE GSM WERE FIND IN COURT FOR THE OFFENCE.

TIGGER 2K8 YOU ARE WASTING YOUR TIME
THEY STICK TOGETHER .YOU COULD HAVE 1000 WITNESSES AND THEY WILL SAY IT DID NOT HAPPEN . BUT I KNOW WHO I BELIEVE.

Find the shift key before you start typing next time or your post will be deleted. If you don't know why you need to stop posting until you learn.

Now there is a surprise!!!

DAVY DAV sees a negative thread on PPrune and just cant help but make comments about things that happened a long time ago in GSM’s history!

DAVYDAV, get back in your box or move on with your life…..

There is much written in this forum with regard to GSM and ETOPS, all of which can be found with the search function. The company have moved on from then and have been operating ETOPS flights without issue for some time.

GSM has had full ETOPS appoval for some time now.

Bookings are exceeding 90% on all flights, with most leaving full, this summer. GSM are on track to post a good profit for 2009 too.

ACMIs for W09, and a reduced programme from GLA/EDI/ABZ for W09.

Summer 10 is being launched just now, SFB 4 weekly from GLA. Weekly from BFS. New routes on the way for S10 .....

FAO, AGP and ALC will be launched this week. ALC, AGP probably 5 weekly, and FAO 4 weekly. Don't see these routes daily as this summer.

Perhaps these flights aren't going to be daily cause they are launching new routes?
