Yep, the 738 does have IFE provided via overhead TV screens.
A close family member works for Thomson Airways and therefore has access to the timetable of where each aircraft should be and when - this is how I know!

CWL
No more 733 based at CWL as of 30 April, after LPA-CWL.
If you're lucky you may be on one of TOM's brand new 738's. 2 of which delivered this year.
TOM also basing FCA 757 at CWL this year.
Does anyone know if the winglets fitted to the FCA 757's are for specific bases/routes, or will they alternate bases as normal?

LGW - 2, MAN - 2, NCL - 1 and GLA - 2. However these aircraft will undoubtedly altenate bases throughout the summer. Also, specific routes will be operated by the winglet equipped 757s.

I flew back from ALC to MAN on G-FDZS on the 21st april. Exactly a week after she was delivered. Pristine condition as expected, new seats and a new interactive map on the screens that really was smart.
Give it a few months on the ALC/PMI/IBZ/AGP runs and it will soon start to look shabby

I do believe this is as it stands at the moment (but am willing to be corrected!)
Belfast - 1 x 320
Exeter - 1 x 320
Gatwick - 1 x 320, 1 x 321, 1 x 733, 3 x 738, 3 x 752, 2 x 75W, 4 x 763
Stansted - 1 x 320, 1 x 738
Manchester - 1 x 320, 1 x 321, 1 x 73C, 2 x 738, 2 x 752, 2 x 75W, 6 x 763
Bournemouth - 1 x 733
Doncaster - 2 x 733, 1 x 738
Dublin - 1 x 733, 1 x 752
Luton - 1 x 733, 1 x 738, 1 x 752
Cardiff - 1 x 738, 1 x 752
East Midlands - 2 x 738, 1 x 752
Newcastle - 1 x 738, 1 x 752, 1 x 75W
Birmingham - 5 x 752
Bristol - 2 x 752
Glasgow - 2 x 75W
Newcastle, Glasgow, Bristol, Birmingham and East Midlands all see a 767 based on certain days! All these airports see ex FCA 767s whilst Manchester and Gatwick have the ex Thomsonfly 767s.
Standby aircraft will be 2 757s and 1 767.

Check In LGW for Orlando
Hi, your help please.
Flying with Thomson in a couple of weeks from LGW to Sandford, Florida. I understand we can check bags in the night before the flight but cannot obtain boarding cards until the following day due to extra security.
Question. If we check in bags the night before, can we get our seats allocated at that time and just collect the boarding cards the next day. Or...can we only get our seats allocated when we get the boarding cards the following day.
Many thanks for your advice.

A few months ago I checked in night before with TOM/FCA flight from LGW (not to Sanford)and was issued boarding card with allocated seats, so when turning up on the day of flight went straight to Security. Shouldn't see why it would be different.

Thanks. From the information ,in smallprint, on Thomson website, it states you can use twilight check in but....if you are travelling to the USA you must collect your boarding pass the following day.

Musket90,
There are extra security issues with flights to Sanford, hence boarding cards are retained and you need to pick them up on the day of the flights when using day before check-in.
pilotcanary,
See your post over on HT!
