Well said "LOGICAL", l just do not know why "webby1999" lists them as 2010, that's when they were due, even TUI/TCA will be lucky to get any in 2010.
As for the B737s leaving after the summer, it might be a good move as when your court case starts it is not going to be pleasant.
Best of luck to you all, by hell are you going to need it.

Well if Monarch's 787's are 30 months late, FGS will be very lucky to see theirs in 2012.

787's due March and November 2011 now.
http://www.jethros.dwsitech.com/flee...yglobespan.htm

I take it the 752 will be operating European flights W08 because of the real shortage of a/c till new 700's/800's arrive S09 explaining why 1xweekly SFB from GLA and nothing else.

Which 767 is operating YYC-YVR? and which is SFB?

GSM ordered the B787s before the order for MON. The expected delivery initially was 2010, but will probably be late now. Should be used on Canada/SFB routes.

Let me educate you a little "webby1919", GSM did not order the B787 before Monarch and Monarch's first was due Nov 2010.
The reason l say Monarch ordered before GSM, is that Boeing do not have any order from GSM, hence you will not see GSM listed on the Boeing web site under the B787. You will not see its logo on the side of the first aircraft or on the poster of the tail colours, which shows all the airlines that ordered it before roll out.
ILFC have ordered the aircraft not GSM.
As "TSR2" has said, Monarch is talking about summer 2013 before its B787 enter service.

Actually GSM and MON ordered in the same month - August 2006.

MON ordered direct with Boeing, and GSM leased through ILFC. I'm sure they'll get them in time. GSM have B767-300s to tide them over until B787s arrive.

WEBBY1919:

Are the Oman air 767 wet leases confirmed then? I was under the assumption that Oman Air was asking for a costly upgrade of the Business Class which GSM did not find worth while due to the financial investment involved in that? If you have any info on the 763 leases then please do inform me!

cheers.

Red face Can we try getting what we have away on time 1st!

Webby1919 .....take a reality pill.......we can't properly operate the few aircraft we currently use on our Canadian and N.American flying programme........and......what makes you think for a minute that we will have any sort of passenger base to fill up the dreamliners......whenever they do show up?

Jimmy Riddle, your constantly negative comments interest me, especially as you seem to still WORK for GSM!

If you are that disenchanted, & you certainly give that impression, why don't you try another airline that fits your criteria.

I don't think the utopia you seek exists anywhere at the moment.

Improve from within?

Richard Taylor ......my criteria are simple......I don't want utopia.....I do want to work close to where I live.....because the man who interviewed me wanted local people.....he gave me a job which allows me to do just that ......I'm grateful to him for that......
I also prefer to work for an interesting and progressive airline.....this one is one.....or at least had every potential of being one........before we lost our way.
I'm told that TD looks at these pages regularly......if his managers won't tell him whats going on these pages will......this is not about internal wranglings.....not about manager bashing......it is all about poking and prodding to get things sorted keeping our (local)jobs.....and avoiding becoming yet another failed airline.......if thats ok with everyone.

I agree.....but.....I've got a big bladder....there is plenty to piss about.....
I will continue to piss......things can change.....we can turn things around but........there needs to be the will to make the change.....this has to come from the top.....at the minute it's not.....so I'll go on....
Bladder emptying is good for the soul.....&.......to mix metaphors......gets it off my chest!

Wheelbarrow ........as you aren't in the company....I fail to see how you can speak with any degree of authority on the matter.......apart from as an outsider who .......accoring to your posts last September had an 'other half' who was involved with the company....... had friends then on the 767 who were 'all baling out' ....... and were on casual speaking terms with TD........yeah right.......now who's talking number 2's.......
All fine credentials........but unless you are in the here and now.....you can't speak with authority.....or can you?
If you care to read any of my posts you can establish my bona fides as someone who can speak with some authority......no 2's or not.....and in the light of Silverjet's recent demise...... I am very happy to have a job......but not a job at any price!

You are probably absolutely right.....sadly

We're probably agreed on that..........nothing will change and I'll head bang away till I'm forced by conscience to leave...........or we're all forced by unhappy circumstance to go........ .......talking of which....... I must go.....can smell Mrs R's Sunday dinner......a treat .......usually to be had second hand.........from the microwave.

Question

Local jobs for local boys, yeh right when was last time you heard a Scottish accent, let alone a British accent on the radio using a GSM callsign, ha ha! No just some johny foreigner contractor who couldn't give a rat's ass about the company and is just passing through! As for pilot councils/unions etc, forget it, GSM has a firmly closed door policy in EVERY respect unless you are "mates" with the right people in Colinton Hoose!!

As Wheelbarrow says Nowt will change within GSM, apart from that is the SOPs which seem to change every 6 months

Cracking BRS operation again today. Check-in staffed with college students no idea how it all should work. Called up for boarding before the cleaners had even got on.

Oh yes and another delay. 2 out of 2 so far.
